My friend and I visited Nona Nutrition Elm Grove on their last “Soft Open” day, excited to be among the first 100 customers and snag a free order. The space is clean, open, and inviting, with plenty of seating and a warm, friendly staff that made a great first impression.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered the “Decadent Bowl,” which fell short on several fronts. The acai base lacked thickness and flavor, tasting more like watery tartness than anything indulgent. Freeze-dried strawberries (my oversight for not reading the menu closely) added to the disappointment, with bananas being the only fresh fruit. The texture felt more like a melting smoothie than a proper acai bowl.

While I appreciate the generous free order and the excitement of the soft opening, the bowl wasn’t satisfying, especially given the high calorie count. I plan to give Nona another chance soon, but for now, it’s 2 stars. Here’s hoping for improvement.

I finally found that special place where they serve healthy drinks and have a very comfy, well lit and warm space to be at. I went there at the end of my morning shift and it was exactly as the “Doctor prescribed”.

Amazing smoothie shop turned incredible coffee shop! I’m so grateful for the organic coffee options with real food ingredients that taste absolutely delicious. I’ll be back for many more vanilla honeycomb lattes and Himalayan smoothies. Thank you for being such a thoughtful, nurturing community space.

All of the food and smoothies I've gotten are super tasty with high quality supplements. Definitely the place to go if you want an extra boost to your afternoon snack. I hope there will be more warm food items available for the winter season, but they are getting a coffee bar at the beginning of November so excited for that!

Vegetarian options: Most of their items are vegetarian and if not they have plant based options such as the protein as well as other stuff.

Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating to modifications you would like. I would just be wary if you have allergies since they do have peanut and dairy in a good amount of their stuff.

Parking: It's located in downtown Elm Grove so there is street parking where you can find it otherwise they have a parking lot around the back if you're planning on staying for a longer period of time.

Kid-friendliness: They offer their fruit smoothies in kid sizes which is nice for the little ones.

Wheelchair accessibility: The first floor is accessible along with the bathrooms having enough space for a wheelchair. The upstairs is not accessible currently.

NONA has amazing customer service! I have also used them for large orders for HS girls volleyball teams. They were great to work with and had all the Açaí bowls fresh and ready. The girls loved them and a welcome change to other game day food options.

Great smoothies. Great staff too. There was an issue with the credit card reader and the way the woman handled it with customers was so patient and gentle. I was bothered at first but the way she handled everything I quickly made light of the situation with her. She was very calm and pleasant. First time at this location. I look forward to coming back!

NONA puts a really creative twist on the smoothie concept. These are more than just fruits and veggies found elsewhere, with a menu that is REALLY deep. Their focus on superfoods and additional supplements gives even more options to customize your choice.

NONA also sells supplements and other natural/organic products in store. The Elm Grove shop has become a 1-2x/week stop. If you're an athlete or focused on health/wellness, stopping here is a must. Two stories and plenty of seating make this a great place to work too.

My kids and I love Nona! We were so happy to get some so close. My kids split the strawberry banana smoothie and I try and change up my order when I go (so far the mango mama is my fave). The staff are very friendly and the place is clean and welcoming.
