Very slow yet it took 8 minutes to get a chocolate croissant… so basically putting a pastry on a tray. Except they failed at that too, giving it to me in to-go packaging.

I was trying Panera out today because it’s very convenient and I was interested in the coffee/drink subscription.

Huge fail.

I’ve had a lot of inconsistent experiences at Panera, and I want to share both the highs and lows. I always order the same thing—mac and cheese—because it’s my favorite. Unfortunately, the quality isn’t always consistent. Sometimes, the texture is pasty, and the noodles are mushy, which can be disappointing, especially when I’ve driven 35 minutes from New Glarus to satisfy a craving.

HOWEVER, there’s one standout individual who has completely changed my experience: Kaden. He always remembers me, no matter how long it’s been between visits. He takes the time to ensure my food is prepared the right way, and I truly appreciate his dedication.

Kaden, thank you for making my visits to Panera enjoyable again. I used to hesitate to come in because of past letdowns, but your attentiveness and care have made all the difference. I think the food industry could use more people like you—someone who genuinely listens to customers and goes above and beyond to create a positive experience.

This place is a disaster and always has been, going back decades. How about the time I got a turkey sandwich, and there was a slice of deli paper between the turkey slices? Or the time we got bagels for work, and there was a metal shard baked into the bottom of one? Or the time I went in at 9am for a bagel and they were out of every bagel but one. I could complain about all my favorite dishes they discontinued but I won't. Oops, too late.

What prompted me to write this: last week I went in and ordered the egg white avocado breakfast sandwich. The counter person didn't speak English, had no idea what I was talking about even though I pointed to it on the wall menu. I confirmed it twice, but when I got to work it was some skimpy avocado toast monstrosity. Today I went in, ordered the same sandwich myself through the kiosk just to make sure. I got to work and guess what? It was some egg and bacon brioche thing. The receipt was correct but the sandwich was not. So now, if I ever go back, I'll have to unwrap it in front of the counter to make sure it's correct.

Are all Paneras this bad, or is just the Fitchburg one?

I ordered food months ago. It was never delivered. The restaurant claims they tried to send the order two times. I was never refunded. I’m out $50 for an order I never received.

Customer service for this company is so bad they never even saw this.
