Sammy's Place Restaurant & Bar

First and last time coming here unfortunately. As soon as you walk through the front door there is a gross odor of uncleanliness and dirt. We were sat in the back room that was very dark and dingy. The blinds were closed shut and there were flies all over the place. There were a good amount of bugs flying from the ceiling onto a portrait by us, it was gross. We didn't feel comfortable eating a full meal so we just got the mozzarella sticks and Saganaki. The Saganaki was so so oily and greasy. The cheese stuck to the bottom of the skillet so bad we had to scrap it with two butter knives. The waitress was very nice and we could tell she was working hard, being the only waitress. The owner or manager who sat at the front desk was extremely rude to the waitress and wasn't afraid to show it in front t of her customers either. I felt bad for the waitress. We won't be returning. I hope they do a deep clean of the place so the bugs don't scare off anymore customers...

Great food and family running a great restaurant

I have gone to Sanmys for two decades. Sammys Place is one of my favorite restaurants in the world! Sammy’s Greek dishes are flavorful, and generous portions. The staff is always accommodating. I love any soup that Sammy makes, his Greek salad is awesome and his Cajun style catfish is best catfish I have ever had. It is a little bit of Greece in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. And Sammy is a real character who loves what he does. His son and wife are always there! Try it out!!Larry Eder

I had the Greek Chicken soup and it was amazing. The gyro was also excellent. The sauce had great flavor and was nice & thick. The service was also top-notch - fast, friendly with helpful suggestions.

Parking: Due to road construction, it's a little hard to get to. Nothing real bad the road is solid. Come out and support them during the construction

I’ve had the food occasionally, it’s good from what I remember, but it’s impossible to reach this business by phone to place to go/delivery. Called five times over the space of thirty minutes, nobody ever picked up. Not the first time this has happened. Guess I’ll get food elsewhere.

Good service, ribeye steak was done just right and was very flavorful, large baked potato with butter and sour cream was very good.
