Fort 88 Smokehouse

Used to like to go to 88 though recently were there and the coleslaw was rancid They brought back “fresh” and it was still bad Smelled like it had been left out Tried going back again today and the hostess was very rude, they sat us at a table with hard chairs and we wanted a booth because of back issues We moved to the booth next to us and one woman was kind and said she’d go clear a booth for us as they needed the tables for an event, at that point we thought okay and we’d move Before the first woman could come over to tell us the booth was ready the hostess came up to us with attitude and snarky tone - saying they needed this booth and you can’t just sit wherever you want The tone and attitude was completely rude We won’t be going back We usually have a party of 4 and they will be losing that biz I think your hostesses and wait staff are the face of your establishment and should be kind to the customers

Melt in your mouth prime rib sandwich, which was huge. Their shrimp and cheese curd appetizers were equally awesome. Highly recommend.

We shared the prime rib sandwich and got a side salad. More mushrooms than meat. The au jus was good. Fries were good. Cole slaw was very sweet. Waitress was not that attentive.

Went to eat here for supper and haven't been in almost a year. Love the atmosphere, we had the best server, but the food was just OK. Everytime we have gone here the food is always lukewarm. The plates are hot but my pork was barely warm and my husband got the braised rib sandwich and he said the same about his food not being hot. I think they also changed up the cheese curds because they looked like perfect fried squares. The only thing very hot were the baked beans. French fries also cold. Would love for them to serve hot food then I think they would really be amazing all around!

The vegetables were amazing. Would love just a meal of those. The meats were a little dry and lacked the smoked flavors I like. Service was great and loved the look of the place.

Great place for the BBQ meat vibe. There bar and drinks are well above average. Great patio when warm and some wonderful spaces for big groups.

I love this place!! I just wish I lived closer so I can come by more. The service was super attentive and friendly! The atmosphere is great , it's fun to be there. Amazing burgers and waffle fries. Don't skip the sauce they bring to the table: it's the best! !!!!! I must Rave about the absolute best part of this place: Fried Pickles! Unlike any other restaurant, These pickles are massive slices cut the long way, not any little dinky coins! That's Bragging rights!!!! Way to go Smoke88!

Service was great. Husband and I got the burnt ends and 3 meat platter. All of our food came out cold, the Brussels sprouts were just a pile of oil and practically inedible, and the fries were clearly double cooked yet somehow also cold. We ended up not eating hardly anything and taking it home so we could enjoy at least the meat portions warmed up. We left all the sides.
