Sweet Basil is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always very fresh and full of flavor. I love that the menu has a great variety of Thai food and everything is clearly labeled so each family member can get something perfect for them if they have restrictions like vegetarian, vegan or gluten free. Every time we’ve ordered something from them the order has always been 100% correct, which shows their attention to detail.

ONE OF THE BEST ASIAN RESTAURANT IN THE MIDWEST. This Thai place is legit good, I’ve lived in the MW for 3 years and have been disappointed with Asian cuisine here, until today. Came in on a Saturday, order pad Thai and pad say ew to go, was quoted 40-45 minutes by the cashier, but after 20 minutes, I got my food, tried some in the car and I couldn’t put it down, finished they pad say ew in 5 minutes, got to try some of my significant other pad Thai and that was also good, she told me she liked her dish too. So glad I was able to stop by here, if I get the chance to stop by again, I will definitely making the trip.
Small restaurant with limited seating for dine in, about 10-12 seats, so I do recommend getting it to go. Friendly staff too. No pictures, cause I freaking ate it all so quick.

First time trying it and it was very good! I just wish there was a bit more coconut milk (I believe thats what it is) on top of my sticky rice that came with mangos. Otherwise delicious!

Closing time is 8:00 pm - we came in at 7:10 for a to go order. We were denied service but were advised that the people in front of us that walked in at the exact same time could order because they called before they came (but were placing an order, not picking up an order) - food is great but to drive all the way there from downtown and arrive 50 minutes before closing and be told no service is poor customer service.

This place was busy on a Friday night! And for good reason! It was so delicious and they have a large assortment of Thai options. They were quick and professional! Great service.
This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life! We had Chicken Pad See Ew, Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Wings in Thai Sweet Chili sauce, and Crab Rangoons. Everything was extremely fresh even though we did takeout- and we can’t wait to come back for more. There’s a wait for a reason, it’s so worth it!

If I were to be on death row, my last meal would be from here. The flavors of each dish were truly amazing and some of which I lowkey haven’t experienced before. Everything was so fresh too. BE AWARE that wait times may be around an hour during peak hrs as this place is popping, and for good reason. My boyfriend said the staff were very friendly too.

Today we were truly blessed to be able to eat at Sweet Basil!! We got the OG platter, Tom Yum soup and a noodle dish, and all were exceptional! I never had a soup make me fall in love at first sip but today I shed a tear of joy when I first tasted Sweet Basil’s Tom Yum soup. I will drive two hours again just for this food. Andrew and his family are doing God’s work serving the best Laotian food in the area. Thank you!
