We are not from Wisconsin but have been to the Barrel House a couple of times when we are in town visiting relatives. The food is good, service great and the atmosphere is always fun. Last time we played Bingo and the time before that there was live music. Check it out.

Hello Betty and team. Thank you again for hosting our private event. In August we lost our mother unexpectedly and needed a venue with plenty of space and good food to host a celebration of life. Betty was able to allow us exclusive use of the venue for our 130 plus guests. I heard several compliments on the food and our guests enjoyed having the dining room, bar, and the outdoor patio is great! This venue also has lots of green space where children can run and play safely. Thank you again for making a tough day the best it could be. If you are hosting any type of event where you need space and great food and service in Burnett or Polk county this is your spot for weddings, birthday, fundraisers, holiday parties, celebrations of life, and other special events. We were given a gift certificate! So we ate here Sat. Evening! Our Waitress was new, so we were trying to be nice and not cause any problems! We both ordered their Prime Rib special! We ordered Medium rare, we should have sent back but didn’t want to cause any problems for our new waitress! We could not cut it with our steak knives, ate our potatoes and brought the steak home we let it sit in the juices hoping it would get more tender! Tried eating it on Monday night absolutely could not cut it or chew i! Stopped in today(Tuesday) to complain the lady said no one else complained and how does she know we were even their could get no where with her so left!

Stopped in while passing through the area, pictures looked inviting and reviews sounded good. Wow, did i not expect to be blown away by the food however!! My group had the nachos, reuben bites, cod bites, and the peanut butter burger with onion rings for the side. Every single dish was fantastic!! The onion rings especially blew us all away, they were amazing and i would say if you don’t get them you’re missing out!!
Service was also fast and friendly! I didn’t get our server’s name but she was fantastic and attentive.
If you’re looking for a cozy bite in the area, i recommend this spot 100%!!

Perched atop Polk County’s highest point, the “Overlook Lounge” patio offers stunning countryside views, perfect for enjoying a sunset with a cold drink in hand. The food is outstanding! My group raved about the juicy broasted chicken and the mouthwatering Peanut Butter burger with bacon, paired with crispy onion rings that stole the show. The Friday fish fry is a must-try, with perfectly cooked fish and generous portions. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and the owner’s warmth makes you feel like family. Great cocktails, a solid beer selection, and a kid friendly menu make it versatile for any occasion. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their dishes!

If I could rate this a zero I would dry chicken over priced food and if you can't control what people. Put on goggle make sure you have the correct menu on goggle some people have never been to this place or can't remember prices on food teriff and taxes makes this go up in price as well never eating from here again with you're lame excuses
