When I found out that they serve margarine instead of butter I didn’t want my toast !! I asked the server, and she said yes it was margarine,.. I didn’t like the sausage gravy tasted like paste.. so I asked the server if she could take the toast and gravy off my bill and she said she talk to the owner and the owner said no.. Now the owner says that she wasn’t aware of the situation so either she’s lying or the server is lying,..The server could of offered me a pancake instead of the toast..but they didn’t want to resolve the problem with me they just wanted the money.. The owner should’ve came and talk to me to resolve the problem, but she didn’t so I am assuming she just didn’t care,..You got your money, so be happy,..

Update 12-14-2023This restaurant is still evolving putting on a new addition for I believe outdoor dining I believe. I hope they are putting up screens due to flies and mosquitoes They also did remodeling of the inside of the restaurant and cleaned up alot of clutter but still could remove a few more dust collectors but much much better. One suggestion hang fly paper if someone isn't going to kill flies that come in through the doors. Breakfast is still their specialty along with soups, sandwiches, and ff. Their specialty salads are huge but for their side salads though the lettuce is always crisp they could add a little more greenery or color maybe try red onion or thinner slices of white onion. Their fish fries are very good also I've never been disappointed. They still are understaffed but what staff they have are very hard working, friendly, and personable. This is an owner-operated hands-on-run family-run business. The owner Angel along with her husband try their best to accommodate every person who comes through their door. There are kids, seniors, vegetarian dishes, a stocked bar, and a whole lot more. I would recommend giving this establishment a try.The restaurant has gone through a total remodel which is very nice. Could use some help with interior decorating as too much stuff to collect dust and become a health code violation. Breakfast is their specialty as they need to pay for a better cook for other menu items. If you invest in a better cook then I would give 4 stars. Currently understaffed but the staff is still friendly and apologetic as I said breakfast is great if you don't mind the waitVegetarian options: I'm sure if you ask them they would try to accommodate any dish they have on menu. Just askDietary restrictions: They are very accommodating to your dietary needs if they have it they will make it your way. I had some restrictions and they had no problems adjusting dish for me or getting info I needed before ordering.Parking: With current construction going on it is a bit more challenging getting by the front entrance but I've seen worse. They still have ♿️ parking by the front entrance and it does look like they are working with their neighboring business, Cabins On The Lake to make larger parking accommodations which is also making Cabins On The Lake business more visible from the road. Businesses helping businesses plus ➕️ plus = great business sense.

We love this place! We come here 2-3 times a week. My husband likes breakfast and I usually order lunch or dinner specials. They always have good soup, which I always get. Their American Fries are my husband's favorite! They even serve tasty cocktails! The owner is very friendly and the waitstaff is very attentive. The location is wonderful right on Friendship Lake. They are adding a large outdoor area, and we look forward to dining out there next year!
