Matteo's Mexican Grill

Went there the other day and had a total of just under $36 and I tipped to make the total an even $41. Got a charge on my card saying the total had been updated to $45. The service was decent but nowhere near good enough for me to tip over 30%! Pretty disappointing. Will never go back.

I’ve been here several times and today was the worst experience. I sat at the same table and ordered the same food and drink. Unfortunately, our server had more important regulars come in. The whole staff raved over 2 at the bar and a few in a booth. This took away attention to my booth. I ordered food and the couple at the bar and booth took presidency. I talked to our server at the end and he said it was because I wanted something for free. I had a conversation asking about the buy one get one special. I ordered the house special margarita and asked if I order can I get the lesser one still for free. He said no, I said work with me please laughing. Now, at the end of the meal accusing me and saying I only wanted something for free. I also asked during the meal if there was a new cook because the chicken did not have the same flavoring. He said no, maybe they forgot something. Worst experience I have had. I normally come in atleast once a month but I guess that’s not enough.

The duck machine stole our money, the Mountain Dew came out as a Pepsi, the salsa is meh the mild had a funky taste…but the food was awesome, the margaritas were great, the service was good. I’ll come back and try the salsa again maybe it’s an off day.

Awesome dinner at Matteo’s Mexican Grill, Pilgrim Plaza, Germantown! This place is a hidden gem! Server Juan was professional, friendly, outgoing, helpful with menu choices and always had a smile. He was very respectful of my vegan diet, informing me what options would work for me and offering a substitute for a side item. Food was amazingly seasoned - super flavorful! Portions were of good size - took some home! Decor was beautiful and fun! Will definitely visit again!

Quality mexican food with a ton of options. Great service, lots of seating. Well worth a visit for your next mexican craving.

I stopped in at 11:30 on Friday. One of the coworkers was sitting next to m e. To the Left at the bar area. She smelled like pot. Not to mention she was brushing her hair at the bar and cleaning her brush on the counter and the floor. I was so grossed out I decided not to order any food. Discussting. Won't be returning.

Never went there

To be honest, the food was everything but mexican. I ordered pork in green sauce, the server brings the food, and the sauce on my order you would think it was green, but no, it was bright red. I asked the server what it was, and he said "Pork in green sauce." The taste was of a sweet tomato sauce rather than green tomato sauce. I ordered the charro bean that tasted like baked beans. My son ordered the Chimichanga that was soft like it was submerged in cold oil instead of being crunchy and hot. I will definitely never ever come back.

Great food. Fun decor. Very helpful staff and quick service. Had Tacos with chicken and corn. Partner had a burrito santa. Tasted great!
