After a long Monday, I did not want to cook. I pass this place every day and saw it was a new name & new ownership. Tonight we thought we'd check it out. Totally impressed! We ordered pizza, boneless chicken and sour cream & chive fries. The pizza was absolutely amazing, the food was fantastic!!! I'm so excited to have a place where the food Is great and a place to hang out with my girlfriends & its close...I am so happy. This place was remodeled. the food is so good, definitely check it out!!!

Food was really good. Large pretzel appetizer was big enough for 6 people and tasted really good.

I was here to watch the NASCAR race and unfortunately it had a new owner that remodeled it it away from the NASCAR thing which sucks! The remodeling job was great first class thoughThe downside was I was in and purchased $62 worth of drinks for the people in there because I spread my money around. When the tab came due I laid down 4 20s to pay the bill and did not any change back of course and I brought it up with the person working there a female and she refused she told me she gave me my money back which was a lie! So I don't give bad reviews very often I would stay away from this place until they get rid of that female bartender

Just stopped in for a beer but didn't eat. We wanted to check out the new place. Vastly improved from the last establishment. What I saw of food looked quite appetizing. They changed the outlay of the bar (better from my perspective)and made the place brighter and more appealing. Will definitely be back.

This was a VERY pleasant surprise! Awesome people are running this new establishment. We highly recommend you stop by sooner rather than later, you will not be disappointed!!!!! Can't wait to try the food!!!!! Try the Kickin Chicken or The Boss sandwiches, they are both top notch. Can't wait to try the pizza!!!!!

Love that this place has new owners, a face-lift, and such friendly service! What a change from before! Bravo! I have to say, the new staff makes all the difference. We haven't tried the full menu, but haven't been disappointed, yet. We like to play the machines and I have to say, they are tight. Lol I won't hold that against the place, just an observation. Then again, we take the risk! All else is fantastic and the pricing on drinks and food, is a bonus. Feels like a place you can afford to swing into on any given day.

Stags Tavern opened recently in the old Sports Corner Bar & Grill location. I wasn't a huge fan of Sports Corner, but was open to seeing if Stags was any different, especially when I saw they had $4 burgers on Mondays. My family came with and we dined in for dinner. I ordered a cheese burger with an extra patty and sour cream & chive fries, my wife got a cheeseburger with tater tots, my oldest kid got a cheeseburger with regular fries, and my youngest got a grilled cheese with regular fries. We also got cheese sticks and six wings with Jamaican jerk sauce. The cheese sticks weren't huge, but we got eight in the order. The cheese was on the sharp side, so clearly not mozzarella. They were fine, but not my favorite. I vastly prefer rub to sauce on wings, but I'm a sucker for Jamaican jerk flavor so I wanted to try them anyway. There was plenty of heat and some Jamaican jerk flavor, but like the cheese sticks, they weren't my favorite. I wouldn't get this flavor again if I get the wings again at all. The kids grilled cheese looks like it was a good size. He ate it without complaints. The tater tots, sour cream & chive fries, and regular fries were all good. The regular fries seemed like they might have been lightly battered and were my preference of the three. We all thought the burgers were great. The patties seemed like they were hand formed and not out of a frozen box, which is very appreciated. I thought the seasoning tasted like McCormick Montreal steak seasoning, which is fine in small amounts, but can overpower a burger real quick if overseasoned. The Monday deal is $4 for a quarter pound burger and you can add a side for $4 more. Make sure you specify that when you order and don't just say "a cheeseburger with fries" because they will charge you the regular menu price for a larger burger with fries. My wife and oldest son didn't think to specify the $4 burger and the server didn't clarify which size they wanted, so we didn't discover the mix up until we got the bill and it was $10 more than expected. They were able to adjust it for us, so it all worked out in the end. I look forward to coming again on Mondays for the $4 burger deal and checking out their other menu items and specials, especially the Friday fish fry.
