Went to the Bierhaus for their advertised Thursday special - BOGO rib dinner. Got told “ we don’t have any ribs and haven’t had any for weeks “ Advertised on their website - still on their menu - even sent me an email about it this week OK - do you have a new Thursday special? Get the manager - his one word answer was “ no” OK - I’ll have the WI fish fry - good all week - its on the munu - I’ll have the Perch basket “ we don’t have any perch” OK - what’s n the menu that you can actually serve me tonight? Server says “well - they keep promising to give us new menus but never do - so honestly I can’t tell you” Save yourself the hassle and go to a decent restaurant

There was a group of 10 of us for a Thursday evening dinner. The decor was very German, and I can imagine how fun it would be if the place was filled to capacity. The food was fantastic, the beers were cold and the service was fantastic.

The entire event staff at the Bierhaus took care of every aspect of our luncheon. The staff was engaging and made sure we were all cared for. The food was excellent, fresh and hot that sometimes you do not get at a buffet. I want to thank them again with this review. Please feel confident to book any event at the Bierhaus the staff was wonderful.

My heart is with this place since this is were my husband & my wedding reception was over 20 years ago. We’ve been a few times, but was likely over a year ago. Today, we took our family & German exchange student. Atmosphere is fun, but food was spotty. Pretzel was served with beer cheese, but the beer cheese was AWFUL! Not sure if old or reheated too many times, but it was not good. We opted for the mustard which was better. My husband’s sandwich was okay, but his fries were only half cooked. My Reuben and fries were good though. My daughter got a perch plate and the fish was mostly RAW! We would’ve sent it back, but Lord knows where our server was so I gave up. Server seemed very unhappy to be there as it was and no smiles at all. However, our German student had the goulash & spatzle and said it was pretty good. Reading other reviews, this all seems like a common theme - hoping they can do some positive staff training and work on the kitchen. I really want to see them succeed, but there’s some work to be done.

The room is very Bavarian, there was a life music, very good beer, no more good things. I ordered pork shoulder with potato pancake. Both of them were not cooked the same day but wormed up before serving as a result meet was overdried and a pancake was as a shoe sole. How could you reheat the reheat a pancake? How difficult to make it fresh? 3 minutes? Mash potatoes my grand daughter has was not from real potatoes but mix. My daughters boiled potatoes was not fully cooked. Should i continue? The Pretzel was stall, not fresh at all. Meet balls was just OK. Do you want me to share with you Soup Goulash recipe, It is petty easy, but not like they cook. 2 month ago I came back from Bavaria. Be leave me the food there fresh and tasty.

Food was great, even by my Oma’s standards! It came out super fast, service was good, and there is plenty of space for seating. My parents are living in MKE for a few months and they come here a lot, they say it’s the best German place in town. Definitely get the pretzel bread pudding, it was SO good.

This is the best and most authentic bierhalle in Milwaukee. Milwaukee’s proud German heritage continues, but the venues keep disappearing. We still have places like Von Trier, Kegel’s Inn and the Estebrook Biergarten, but this is a treasure worth visiting. The Biergarten in the summer and the Oktoberfest on weekends in September are also first rate!

Came for lunch, so not too busy leading to prompt friendly service. Ordered 3 fish fry with potato pancakes. 4 perch per order, very tasty. One of the two walleyes tasted off (2 diners tried it). Sent back for perch but charged higher price. Server was acomodating. Pancakes almost inedible. Toasted one side only. Fairly cold and gummy. One tasted oddly peppery. As this is one of the best reasons to fish fry at a german restaurant, very disapppinting. Deserts so so. Black forest is not acutally torte. More a moist chocolate cake with hint of cherry.

Food arrived ice cold, told kitchen was backed up. Well that would mean food can still be hot, just late. Waitress waited another 20 minutes to check on meals, so we sat there with refrigerator temp food. No one seemed to care. Will never come back! Don’t waste your $!

My wife wanted to go here for our wedding anniversity dince her father had calibrated his 50 snniversity here. We have bern here before and enjoyed our selves and the food greatly. It may have bern a fluke this time but we ordered schnitzel and two walleye fish dinners. The schnitzel was okay. The walleye however, was not one plate tasted bad from the get go, the other playe was okay until I got half way through the filled. It tasted sour. Since I started on one side I tasted the other end of the gillet, it was definitely dour snd rated bad. The waiter was great he offered to get us domething else but we declined. He took the offending fish back yo the kitchen and took both off the bill. The service was great, the fish on the other hand was not, but hecfid what he could to make it right. Would I recommend the Bavaian Inn, I would based upon past experiences and the level of service we received even this time. However, quality must be addressed by the restaurant. I have had good food snd service here in the past. This time however I received good service, the food on the other hand....

Friday lunch. Wienerschnitzel and the pork knuckle. Clearly re-heated in a microwave: dry, lacking taste. In no way does the food justify the price.

I left feeling like I had been robbed. They didn't post their price for the Mothers Day Brunch, which was mediocre at best. I was floored at the price which was so out of line compared to their normal menu. They definitely took advantage of a family day with their predatory pricing and practices. Will never return.

Met my daughter with her 3 month old. It was loud, but so was the beer hall in Munich:)

Good beer but, over worked staff. Order messed up a bit, got charged for cheese on burger, but there wasn't any, ordered salad and received fries. Server way too busy to be bothered with these minor details.
