Dr. Dawg | Glendale

The hot dogs were discolored and completely not edible... The Philly dog made me and my husband absolutely sick and so did the pickle. It was completely not edible. The only thing between the orders that were okay are the fries. That is all we ate after tasting the food. We played tennis and wanted to grab a bite to eat prior to our bike ride. That was cut short due to our stomach aches. I never leave a negative review but I was in so much stomach pain from what I ate there it was insane.

I loved them when they were in Glendale, glad they’re now in Thiensville. This restaurant is so welcome and inviting. I’ve eaten there 3 times so far and plan many more. Two notes. 1.) I had duck sausage at the Glendale location many years ago. I’d love to see it return, even limited. 2.) Your fries are great. I’m looking for a suitable replacement for baaree fries after they closed. You need sour cream/chive dipping sauce for them.

Love their Italian Beef Combo sandwich! I always thought Portillo’s had the best Italian Beef Combo but Dr Dawg surpasses them by far! Absolutely love this sandwich! It’s tasty with just the right amount of spice so if your appetite is talking to you you’ve got to try Dr Dawg’s Italian Beef Combo! They are not skimpy on their meat and I love mine with the works - hot guardinier peppers, cheese, grilled onions and au jus dipped 👨🏻‍🍳 Delish!

Nice people, good lunch

It’s a bar that sells hotdogs, that’s it. Way more focused on the bar patrons. Server visited us to take our order and give us the check. That was about it. Food could have been way better for the price point. And very little variety of hot dogs for a place called Dr. Dawg! Very disappointed!

The original location in Glendale was definitely better. While the food is still great, the service at the new location is lacking. The absence of a menu board and counter as well as confusing system of taking orders at the bar, or by a server is a downgrade. The general vibe isn’t the same. Unfortunately the move seems like it was hasty and thrown together. While I’ll definitely be back because they still have the best hotdogs around, I long for the original location.

Walked in, ordered, payed, and asked if I could wait outside. 30 minutes passed and more than a handful of people came and went with their order. I went inside and took a seat in hopes my order would show up. No one said a word to me so I left. 40 mins for a hotdog and french fries. Well, not really, I never received my food. Horrible.

It's not a bad place to eat.

Stopped by today by myself, was going to order and leave. Decided to stay. Brooke the owner was very welcoming. She welcomed everyone that entered. Friendly atmosphere, clean and comfortable. I had the food before, at their other location. This place just as good. Fresh, fast service. First time ordering Cole slaw, and it was great. Decided to try a Margarita, it was tasty. Family owned business. Originally from the south side of Chicago. They know about the Chicago Hot Dog.

It's a HOT DOG PLACE. YOU guys are overthinking this. I do not need a waiter to wait on me...it's a hot dog place.service was slow and annoying...waited 12 minutes to get my order taken......you DO NOT NEED WAITERS JUST A COUNTER.TOOK forever to get check and get outta there. I like the glendale one. Order and leave...it's A HOT DOG STAND GET IT???
