We went for Oktoberfest and had a lot of fun. The hangover was worth it!

Such a disappointment for lunch, I have not had such poor service anywhere this bad in ages! Other than waiting to order and for any drinks by the time our food came out included hot entrees; asking about our appetizer, the waitress reply was oh yeah, it's coming right out, we ran out of platters for the cheese tray. We said we didn't want it but were ignored! Our food was very good. I do think this was an isolated server issue as we watched others come and go while we waited for boxes, the bill and the receipt we never received.

First the good, the food was amazing.
Now, everything that went wrong: the event coordinator (EC) never scheduled our 6-week meeting with us; we had to schedule it with her. At this meeting, we went over having 2 vegan meals and 1 children's meal, and what we expected for the ceremony and reception. We were also promised a backdrop for our ceremony which staff later destroyed but we were offered a small lopsided arch made out of pool noodles and fake flowers that didn't look good. We then had to provide and set up our own backdrop for ceremony.
Morning of, as bridal party was getting hair and makeup done in the lower level, the groom had to stop a man from entering the room for an alleged yoga class that was scheduled in that room at that same location. There were no signs on the bridal party or groom's doors letting people know these were closed for private event until much later in the day, well after this.
Our ceremony was outside during Oktoberfest in the Jagerpavilion. The Bierhaus did have signs saying this are was closed for private event, but fest goers decided to go in the ceremony area and turn on the TVs with the sports games. The Bierhaus staff did nothing. Our Officiant had to turn off the TVs and kick people out and tidy the area up as there was garbage left behind and rearrange chairs - no help from the Bierhaus staff.
We wanted the cake on display at beginning of reception, we had to hunt down the EC, and she forgot about this, which was discussed during the 6-week out meeting.
When dinner came, the requested special meals were not ready when the dinner had begun and the groom had to flag down a drink waitress to get these meals to the guests, two of which were the grooms kids, and the other was the brides sister, which the EC knew ahead of time.
Then comes the cake cutting. The EC informed us that they cut the top tier of the cake. Wedding cake rule 101: don't do that! The EC knew we wanted to save that for our anniversary and she offered to save us a portion of the cut middle or have the house staff remake a small cake. Our cake was baked by a family member who has a wedding cake business as a wedding present to us.
The cherry on top of the night: the bride went to the bathroom on the lower level around 8pm, where we got ready, because it has bigger stalls. There was some toilet paper in the toilet so the bride flushed it ahead of time and didn't think anything of it. Until raw sewage came up from the floor drain which got on the brides shoes and the back of her dress. Staff helped clean it some and sprayed a bunch of perfume but we could still smell it. Night ruined. When we told EC this, she was not surprised that it happened and implied that this has occurred multiple times in the past with that bathroom. There were no signs on the bathroom stalls or that the bathroom was out of order. If we had known that, the bridal party wouldn't have used that bathroom.
The bride wearing a ruined dress and shoes, instantly didn't feel like a bride anymore. We ended up leaving our wedding 2 hours early and skipped the after party because all we could smell was raw sewage.
Nothing can make up for the damage that was done.

My husband had the sauerbraten, I had the wiener schnitzel, and we shared pierogis and an apple strudel. This was such an awesome meal! I would recommend this place to anyone 100 times over!

Or meal was phenomenal! We loved it so much the first time we came back again and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is spot on and the service was awesome!

Food was delicious. I had the smoked pork chops and they were just the best!

Not a place to sit for more than 30 minutes, they have hard wooden benches which are very on theme, but man.. they'll hurt your behind.

Really cool and authentic decor - love the Friday and Saturday night live music! Love the wide open hall with bench seating and lots of TVs and big bar.
Food was okay- would go back to try some of the more authentic items but the brats and Reuben were just okay. Pretzel is good and would get it again with the bier cheese but not as buttery as I usually like.
Family friendly and convenient location!
