They were out of diet soda. I asked for regular, never got it. Fries were really salty. We went for what was on the online menu. What we wanted was not on the actual menu. It was not busy, yet took over an hour to get our dinner.

I’m kind of surprised by the 5 star reviews. My husband and I ate there recently on a Friday night. We were worried about the dress code being strict and that we weren’t dressed appropriately, until we saw the hostess. She had a wrinkled flannel shirt on, baggy pants of some sort and platform chunky shoes. Our waiter was clumsy and awkward and forgot to bring a few things that we asked for, not because they were busy as there were very few people there that night at 6:30. As we were sitting there, we witnessed four women being seated and 15 minutes later they all got up and left. Not sure why. The food was mediocre. My peppercorn steak tasted like burnt pepper. And all these reviews that said Chef Kendra came to their table, leaves me perplexed. The only time we saw Chef Kendra, is when she ran to the hostess station because the hostess mysteriously disappeared. The $175 spent there, was definitely not worth it.

First time trying bone marrow. Even better than I expected. Tried the Bronzini with preserved lemon butter sauce and forbidden black rice. Amazing. Chef Kendra even stopped by to see how I was.

My husband and I went out to eat here for a nice night out, and we were SO happy with our whole experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server Abi was amazing! The Black and Tan was AMAZING, and our second favorite was the brussels sprouts. We also got to meet the executive chef Kendra, who was so kind and wonderful to talk to! We will definitely be back soon!

Amazing food, great wine, servers were top notch. The black and tan entree was cooked a perfect medium rare, with a beautiful sauce.

Do not go with a large group. Went with a group of 16. We arrived right at 7 and served appetizers right upon arrival because the host of the party asked for them to be served then. We did not see our soups/salads until 8:40p. Very long time to wait! Our entrees started to arrive at 9:10p, but one at a time so by the time the last persons meal arrived at 9:25p the first meals placed were cold. The apps were strange - meat was gray and the crab cakes were mushy. While we were waiting on our meals, the chef came out and told us that she had dropped all the potatoes on the ground and asked if we were okay with french fries instead. We didn't have a choice so said yes to the fries, but that means they were serving us frozen fries. Not something you expect from a fine dining restaurant. There was no background music so there was an awkward silence from time to time. We asked to have the TV turned on that was in the room and it was broken. 8/16 people ended up not eating their entrees because it was either cold or tasted off.

Appetizers:Crabcakes: very tasty, liked the sauce and slawBlackened Tuna: rare, delicious. Not much else to add.Bone Marrow: this was my first time trying bone marrow like this and not in a soup stock. Went over toast. I thought this was delightful! I understand why some of the folks at the table didnt like the gellatinous look, but that kind of thing doesnt bother me.Entree: Ribeye with mashed potatos, soup of the day.Ribeye: cooked as i asked(medium rare) seasoned well and went very well with the toasted onions on top.Mashed potatos: of course they were good.Soup of the day: I love tomato bisque, and I was delighted.Atmosphere felt nice. Fancy but not too fancy.

I had a great experience at Black and Tan. The food choices were innovative and very tasty. Chef Kendra is definitely dedicated to providing the B & T diners with a gastronomical experience! I was so impressed that she stopped by our table, sat down and exchanged ideas for upping the ‘ante’ for her restaurant. Don’t give up…

First time there today. Service, food, atmosphere, was excellent. The chef approached me twice to check on me. I had the filet, bone marrow, and crab cakes. Sooooo good. If you are in the area or want to try something new, try it out. You will not regret it. Bryon C.

We recently celebrated a birthday at the Black and Tan Grille. We both had the Black and Tan and it was phenomenal! Chef Kendra was delightful as she explained the upcoming menu changes. The turtle cheesecake was delicious according to Cindy and I appreciated the knowledge of the staff as I require a gluten free diet. We look forward to dining here again in the near future!
