Great food and at good prices, the menu had way more selections than I thought it would and everything I’ve had there has been great so far. I’ve brought several friends and family here and they’re always impressed. Highly recommend!

the over all politeness of all that work there , the wait staff are amazing, great food
I've been going here for 27 years! I think they have the best perch in town! Fridays are busy, but worth the wait.

The temperature inside the establishment was hardly any cooler than the 90 degrees outside. It seemed that the staff were all new, as they were unable to answer any of our questions. Our drinks sat unattended until we approached the bar to request them. After waiting 40 minutes for our food, we asked for it to be boxed up along with our bill. Moments later, our food was bagged and brought to us, which made me suspect it had been sitting back there for quite some time.
Once home—only a 7-minute drive away—we opened the food containers and were greeted with disappointment. The bacon pecan salad consisted of some lettuce leaves with pecans haphazardly sprinkled on the side and a goopy bacon dressing that appeared mostly to be cornstarch. The seafood soup, which tasted like leftover fish from the previous week, was possibly the worst soup I have ever encountered. I would have preferred a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup over it any day.
We ordered the soup and salad, as well as a BLT. After a 40-minute wait, nothing tasted fresh or enjoyable. Unfortunately, most of it was barely edible. The toast on the BLT was burnt, and the tomato was a soggy mess. But the soup was the worst of all—it was so unpalatable that even my pets wouldn’t touch it. This was our third visit to Highland Howies, and once again, we left disappointed. We’ve learned our lesson and will not be returning.

My favorite perch sandwich. Toasted marble rye w/lettuce & tomato.
Clam Chouder is a good soup to complete the meal.
Julianna was amazing, grabbing us drinks and offering menus and suggestions. Totally fun! Really enjoyed the chili and wow Zombie Dust on tap!

My husband used to be a training manager in the food industry and is picky about service. He said this was the best service he has ever had, which is high praise. Oh and the food was good lol.

Wonderful, welcoming and friendly staff. I can only speak for the Friday fish plate, but it was very good! A loud environment, but otherwise a pleasant time.
