I will start with my only complaint, because they are family run the service is a little bit slow. It is however well worth the wait so I'm 150% ok with that so for me it doesn't even cost this place a single star. My husband ordered crawfish etouffee and I wondered catfish. This was like tasting home for me. This is the kind of food I grew up with and I was shocked to find such a perfect southern gem right here in the frozen tundra.

Literally the BEST fried okra I've ever had. Service was great, staff was friendly, the restaurant was very clean. My boyfriend and I split the fried chicken entree and it was SO MUCH FOOD. Amazing chicken, and we got a square of corn bread that was also phenomenal. I wish we didn't live so far away from this place. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place! One of Green Bay's best kept secrets. (Which deserves more recognition) Service is fast and friendly, with a homey family style setting. They're set up for live music as well and have a bar for those looking for that kinda thing. Food is reasonably priced for the big portions with unbeatable flavor. Look no further if you're hungry and looking for good comfort food.

Came in right when they opened to be waited on by the bartender. 10 minutes later he took our order and never came back. 35 minutes later the food came out he forgot the gravy that came with the fried chicken. Another 10 minutes passes by and still nothing. I then ask him about the gravy and shortly after his wife comes walking in. A few minutes later she comes out with the gravy and I asked why it took 15 minutes to make a gravy sauce. Apparently the bartender/husband didn't know to make the gravy and waited till his wife to come in but he didn't say anything about it.

The place is owned and operated by the nicest woman I have encountered in a long time. She cooks all of the food from scratch, which includes tasty sides like black eyed peas and mac and cheese. The hand cut fries were our favorite! We split an order and brought one back to the hotel. That's how good they were!
