The food and drinks were excellent! We truly enjoyed ourselves. And the Brussels sprout appetizer was wonderful!

Good serviceFood was below average. We had the Friday fish. Out of crab cakes appetizer. No bread appetizer. Just really dull food options and bland taste

If this establishment is going to make it, they need to put their money into the chef/cook and quality ingredients. My experience was 50/50. Bartender was pleasant, drinks were fine except my White Russian tasted old. Maybe it was the cream. But I let it go. Crabcake was $16 and majority breading. Sauce was good. Brussel sprouts should be served cut in half, less salt and on a plate, not a bowl, looks too much like a salad and it's an app. Blackened salmon was not good, but the alfredo sauce was creamy and tasted homemade, not sure if it was. The pesto gnocchi was terrible. They did not emulsify the pesto long enough and it was just oil. This place could be a hidden gem if they spend their money in the kitchen. I Spent 2 bills for food that was mediocre at best, but it has potential if they can take constructive criticism. Good luck.

First time here. Nice place and not crowded on a friday evening. We arrived at 5:25 with a 5:30 reservation. Checking in at the bar and was taken to our table. Ordered drinks and looked at menu. Daughter ordered crab cakes, wife had gnocchi, I ordered bluegill. I also ordered cheese curds for appetizers. After 5 minutes waitress came back and told us no crab cakes and no bluegill. Still waiting on drinks. Daughter then ordered Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I ordered the cod. Finally got our drinks and the cheese curds. Good drinks, old fashioneds, and cheese curds pretty tasty. Food eventually came wife enjoyed her gnocchi, my cod was tasty, and daughters chicken sandwich was really salty. Not sure if Nashville chicken is supposed to be that way or not. Overall not really impressed and probably won’t go back.

They have Market price on their steak filet. Only 6-8 oz and it was $40.00. Steak sandwich isn’t very good-tough Fries and cheese curds and good

We chose this restaurant for an Easter lunch because it was centrally located and could take our group of 9. We were the only diners the whole time which should have been a red flag. The menu would be fine if the food was good but it was terrible. Some not edible. Might be ok to go for causal drinks and cheese curds but that would be all we would recommend here. Live and learn.

We were seated at a table and they moved us to another table after about 10 minutes because they had people who had requested that specific table for an hour later. Weird. We were there at 5:30 per our reservation, it took 20 minutes before they even took a drink order! And then another 20 minutes to get the drinks ( a tap beer, an old fashioned, and a vodka gimlet!!) When I said something about double bubble for the beer the waitress said it was after 6 and walked away! Unreal. Food was ok, price was reasonable but they need to learn some customer service. It was not very busy.

I would say , would love more options especially without bacon and more chicken options without cheese. Fries were amazing, would like more traditional soups. Recommend as a lunch place other than a Friday Fish fry place which others may enjoy. Main entrees were very good.

Went for a Friday fish fry. Service was slow even though they were not that busy. Food was ok at best. We didn’t say anything because what could they have done. If it’s not that good it’s not that good.In response: saying I’m not used to fresh food is insulting. I have had plenty of fresh food at other area restaurants. But I guess it’s just me. Stop taking it personally and make changes to address your quality instead of blaming your customers for a bad day

I was not familiar with the location. Based on the website it appeared very inviting. I was in town for an event at a nearby campus. Jimmy Simm's is the new business at a previously existing restaurant/bar. There is a sign at the entrance explaining business is new and renovations are underway. We arrived at the scheduled time, 5:30. Friendly waitress said we could sit anywhere, but suggested not using a specific table. Most tables needed to be cleaned although restaurant was not busy. Only a party of six at another table. A nice waiter provided us with drink and food menus. When I ordered a specific draught beer, he advised that was no longer available. Somewhat disappointing, but I was was able to get another good one. Waiter was a bit slow in taking order, but food and drink was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Food was very good, especially for bar food, and staff was able to accommodate wife's diet restrictions. Waiter presented check promptly when requested. Waiter also loaded directions to next event on my phone.

Everything is fresh here, which is not typical these days. You can tell it's all cooked to order. I try something different every visit and I have not decided on my favorite yet. All delicious!

Wife heard about this place on the radio so we decided to stop.(Not a food critic, just an opinion)They are still working on updates because we almost drove by it (thanks Google Maps).Very scenic view and rustic feel. Was very interesting that no overhead music which was a pleasant surprise. Hostess greeted us prompt and very courteous showed us to the table which looked over a bit of a ravine (saw 2 deer, bonus). Not overly busy but did make it for Happy Hour.Had a gentleman for a server, but didn't introduce himself, kinda odd, but happens sometimes. Gave us time to look over the menu, since it was Friday that part of the menu stood out. Didn't any starters just right to the entrées, wife had the Bluegill plate with the Ham Potatoe soup while I decided on Ribeye with salad with Ranch.Soup and salad come out quickly and you can tell if was from Scratch the second it was delivered, wonderful surprise. The soup was not cream base like you normally see but much better, Very flavorful. Salad was a bit small (my opinion) and kinda felt bad for the person that had to cut the cherry tomatoes ( hehe). The Ranch dressing was also from scratch with a bit of dill, took it to another level.Entrées arrives but the dishes weren't cleared right away but the staff that brought out the food. Wife's Bluegill was lightly breaded and fantastic. It also come with vinegar base coleslaw (again homemade) with was great. See mostly milk or cream base with is usually runny, not this too gas could have 2nds. We both had baby red potatoes which appear to have been roasted with zucchini. Very crisp, tender and tasty. The ribeye was a good medium rare but really couldn't detect any seasoning on it, kinda sad.We decided on a brownie type dessert, which had whip topping and drizzled in Carmel. Brownie was more cake based than a traditional brownie and seemed to be missing that chocolate after taste but had a very nice crystallize sugar taste but was good.Almost forgot, from the drink menu had a Carmel Apple - 2 type of Whiskeys, Ginger Ale and Lemon Juice. Extremely Good and hit the spot.

The food was excellent! The place brought back so many memories of 60+ years ago with people no longer with us, taking in the views of the park below. We had a brand new wait staff. The dining room was a bit chili.

the one time i did come in here, it was very mediocre.also, get help. it's not normal to respond to every review you get like this, and it's very off putting seeing what you say to people who have anything negative to say. some of the things you've said are just downright not cool. accept the bad reviews and move on, learn to not serve cold food instead of blaming the customers when they didn't ask you to heat it up in the microwave for them cuz it shouldn't happen to begin with.

They have a really cool bar plus great fish fry and wings. They make everything fresh. You can tell the difference. So many places do frozen food.
