Los Cantaritos Mexican Restaurant

First visit - We had birria ramen, shrimp tacos, and a quesadilla. All were delicious! service was great. We'll make this a regular dinner spot.

I have given Los Cantaritos three tries since they took over the El Sarape east side space. First, their salsa and chips: weak, bland salsa (in fact, the last time it was very watery) and the chips, which have no salt or lime, taste like they've been fried in dirty oil. Had a suizo burrito one time. The burrito itself was good, but no sauce so had to ask for it. Their salsa verde, which is my usual go-to at Mexican restaurants, was far too hot/spicy for me. Ordered the chicken fajita one time. Chicken was good quality, but the rice and beans on the side was minimal and the rice was watery and bland. During two of my visits, the restaurant only had one other table than us and I still had to track down the waiter to get a to-go box. All in all, a bit too expensive for the experience.

Certified FIRE. The food is fantastic. Fajitas are top tier. Steak chicken shrimp it’s all good. We have eaten here many times. We always try and get something different every time too! And we always eat way too much and are so uncomfortably full. It’s hard to stop. I will say the service does take a bit long but I truly believe it’s because everything’s home made back there. So it doesn’t bother me.

The salsa is tomato water with about 8 chips for 3 people? We all got burritos and tell me why they come with literal slices of American cheese slapped on top, not even melted? The food was flavorless and the soda tasted like old bar tap soda. The server was about 15 and had no idea what she was doing. Why do you need cameras on the ceiling every 2 feet? We went to Taco Bell after we left. It's a BIG NOPE!!! Waste of 80 bucks!

The food was really good, you can tell everything is done from scratch with love and passion. I tried the Cantaritos drink and it was good with a nice kick. Each plate brings a good portion with an affordable price.

I ordered tamales and got overcooked, old meat, sour tasting sauce, and skinny tamales. These were as small as floutas/taquitos.

If the waiter came back after dropping off the food at least once it would’ve been a 4 or 5 star review. Had to find someone to pay bill and get a to go box. Food was very good otherwise.

The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious.
We had their aguas fresca (horchata, Jamaica) Molcajete Mixta, quesabirria. Good portions for the price. Staff was great, will be back soon!

I don't know why it's called "jaritos" and they don't even have them. It would be better if they saw him wearing "jaritos" because that's what they have.

Food was mid. My spouse found a bone in their chicken burrito. Server was obviously very new and thus service wasn't the best either.

Best Birria I’ve ever had great atmosphere and music was good a lot of great food selections highly recommend this restaurant will try again.

The margarita was awful, tasted like simple syrup and tequilla , the food was horrid for $17 ....I'll spend that kind of money at Taco Bell any day. Grand opening week and we were the only 2 in the restaurant, there were three other people, but they got up and left.

I ordered 6 tamales from there got 7. I’m thinking it’s because two were pretty small. Nope I get to work today heat them up and my tamale has a bite taken out of it. The bite looked like a child’s bite with teeth prints and all. I just don’t understand how that wouldn’t be mixed into mine unless they are allowing their children to eat where they are preparing food. 😑
