Mackinaws Grill & Spirits

Very disappointed, we walked in and had high hopes the atmosphere is great. Our server he was extremely nice. I ordered the cherry chutney turkey sandwich and when it arrived it looked great. I took the first bite and it looked like they used the cheapest turkey you could find on the market. The resemblance of cheap bologna on kwik trip cranberry, wild rice bread came to mind. The only thing that was good was my fries. Our bill came to 45.00 total I tipped our server $12 just because he was extremely nice. We will not be returning and I won’t suggest this to anyone as their ingredients seem sub par and cheap especially for what you pay for. There are so many great restaurants in this area I would suggest driving by and going elsewhere.

We had a great lunch today. Our server was kind and attentive! Great atmosphere and fantastic Old Fashioned.

Have been here many many times. Top three: perch/walleye, elk stroganoff, and steaks.
Handles larger groups well because of their upstairs dining room with its own bar. We regularly visit here with 6-12 people.
Food never seems rushed and always is liked by everyone at the table.
The large bar area separate from the dining area is super nice. They will have live music that doesn't over power a good conversation in the bar and not even know there is live music in the dining room.
If you like taxidermy this place has a ton of it. Parking is sufficient but on really busy nights we have had to park on the street. Under the front drop off area there is regularly a large wood bonfire fireplace roaring.

This looks like a cute cabin, but the food is very creative, well priced, and delicious! The service is quick, accurate, and friendly. I highly recommend the Cherry Chutney sandwich on cranberry wild rice bread. But it was very hard to decide between that and all of their unique offerings. I wish we had a place like it in St. Paul!

Table not clean, had to be wiped down again. Beverage was replaced because of dead bug in it. Food not the best that I've had there. Overall, not a positive experience.

Great experience at Mackinaws. A fun friendly atmosphere, that still feels fancy. Servers are super helpful and stay on top of their tables regardless of traffic in the building. A little on the pricey side depending on the dish you get, but it's good food.

Been here many times, but it is so disappointing to witness such poor service again. Service was, extremely slow and only 4 other people there at the bar. Food was ok, but nothing special for the money we spent. So sad, don’t think we’ll ever go back. Sorry Pat.

Driving home from Door Co and stopped in to grab lunch. It was about 1:30 on a Wednesday so it wasn’t busy.
I had the steak sandwich with mushrooms and sautéed onions and it did not disappoint! It was cooked to perfections and the homemade chips were a great addition!
My husband had the turkey wrap and he raved about the thick sliced turkey and the apples. He also really enjoyed his sweet potato fries.
The service was good and the waitress was attentive. If we are ever in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again!
