I’ve been to mackinaws a few times and this last time has been the best. The parking lot was very full yet we were greeted and seated promptly. Thomas was our server and he did a great job. My coconut crusted haddock was perfectly pan fried and delish. I look forward to coming again.

Have gone here a few times. Food is ok. Not as good as it sounds on the menu. Lacks pizzazz. Interior is nice. Lots of taxidermy. A few fire places. Large bar area. Wood/log interior and high celings. There is a patio for outdoor seating.

The perch plate was terrible. I couldn't tell if it was the poor quality of the fish, or that it was just way over cooked. So overcooked it was hard to chew. The breading was very tough.

My husband and I decided to take our date night venture to Mackinaws this past Friday night. It was quite busy, but the hostess fit us in. We tried a couple of there fall cocktails. Did not disappoint! I got the apple cider margarita and my husband tried the smores old fashioned. Very cool and warming to the soul for this beautiful time of year. The waitress was so kind and very fast. We ordered our food and it arrived in less than 30 minutes. My husbands lumberjack burger had a sweet and savory taste. I requested the Sirloin steak and shrimp and oh boy! The steak perfectly cooked and accompanied by six beautifully sautéed, jumbo shrimp. My husband and I agreed this was the best date night we have had in a while. We definitely will be back for another great time.

Our first visit but not our last! The food and drinks were great. The appetizer basket might have had the best chicken tenders we've ever had! The coconut shrimp were delicious. My wife loved her chicken pesto gnocchi.
The drinks were something different for us. The blood orange sour is my new favorite. The apple cider margarita is worth a try too.

Can't forget the great service and music in the bar area.

Nice Northwoods themed restaurant with a nice variety of elevated bar and grill food.

We had 7 Adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of space and the server did a great job making sure we had everything we needed including crayons for the little ones.
