Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

Great food and best service possible! I love the Chicago 7 pizza, especially with the hand-tossed crust. Such a quality place to go to for either lunch or dinner.

Terrible choice for a spot to eat. Just spent $16 on an order of “Tall boneless wings”. I received 8 tiny wings. For $16. And the “Jamaican jerk” seasoning, is nowhere close to a Jamaican jerk. They taste like paprika wings. Terrible. Sicilian rolls also halved in size since I last ordered. Wouldn’t recommend this place, it seems greed is taking over and quality is going out the door. Support local restaurants and bars instead, better quality for a better price.

Not even close to a Chicago style deep dish pizza!

$33 for an incredibly small mediocre pizza. Yikes. The “pizza cookie” is also completely laughable. Small, cold, gas station cookie. lol.

Really disappointed. Spent $33 on a pizza and couldn’t even eat all of it because there were huge bubbles which led to no toppings on several pieces. The insides of these pieces were completely hollow. Bubbles happen but for a $33 pizza and to have at least 25% of it inedible is kinda ridiculous. The fried pickles looked sloppy. Some pickles had a mountain of seasoning and some had none. The chips for our nachos were burnt and so was the kids pizza. Donut bites were chewy almost like they were stale. We ordered a ton of food and spent a good bit of money just to feel like they took all the food that wasn’t good enough for the dine in people.

I eat here very often and have noticed that on the weekends I feel like the pizzas are even a little better. They have very consistent toppings and the appearance of the pizzas is even a little better. Great food every time and a fun atmosphere. A must stop!! 🍕

Understaffed and slow food service, but the server was very nice under the circumstances. He was the bar tender, food runner, and server all in one.

Stopped in for lunch on Friday afternoon. Was not busy at all and we were seated in what felt like the back corner booth. Right away we were moving the table around just to be able for all of us to sit comfortably, mind you it seemed it was missing some screws as it was also very loose and wobbly.

Our server walked up casually to just tell us he would be back in a few minutes to take our drink order, odd but OK. When he did arrive back it was a bit uncomfortable as he seemed very laid back, care free and not very welcoming.

We ordered pizza, pizza rolls and a chicken sandwich. The pizza related items were ok for pizza, not awesome but not terrible either. The chicken sandwich came out stacked tall like it was a show piece, bun chicken lettuce bun. The chicken was over breaded over cooked and the portion was small. I get that it's the crispy chicken sandwich but it was all breading.

Our concern for the sandwich was passed onto the server who apologized and said its usually a popular sandwich and we thought that was it, another odd interaction but we waited for our tab. Shortly after a woman approached our table asking about the sandwich and what we felt was wrong with it. No idea if it was the cook, a manager or what. In our opinion she then became almost defensive calling out the weight of the portion prior to breading it. It was an uncomfortable situation but she did offer to remove it from the tab which was nice.

Overall our meal was alright, unsure if we would return in the future as there was not much appeal to make us do so.

I ordered off of grubhub about a month ago and my order was incorrect. I ordered the veggie pizza add chicken and only got chicken. I called and the Manager told me they were going to send me a voucher. Never got it. Recently added, Thank you for sending the vouchers. I really do like your pizza and etc.

Went here a few nights ago and the pizza was cold, yet burnt?!? Wasn't sure that was even possible, but I guess it is at this joint. Also took a considerable amount of time to get our food, which may explain why it was not a warm pizza. Manager was rude and condescending to say the least. Steer clear, there are far better choices to grab a pizza in the area, including the basic Domino's or Pizza Hut. Disappointing to say the least.
