This is the best fine dining restaurant in Green Bay and possibly in the top 3 I have been to. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the ambiance is amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant.

We celebrated a family birthday here. We all loved the ambiance. The old fashioned decor was really cool. The service was good all the way around. The food was hit and miss. None of it was bad, but as another review stated...the price means we expected a bit more on the quality side. Portions are reasonable and you can enjoy a long drawn out meal in a relaxed manner. The raspberry Gelato, excellent. The seared tuna, excellent. Crab cake, excellent. Lemon drop, very good. Everything else was acceptable but not wonderful. With 6 people and a good variety of food sampled from the menu we all said we would come back for dessert or drinks, not appetizers or food. The atmosphere is worthy of another trip back sometime. It's just not going to be on the top of our lists.

Excellent food and great service. Laurra is our favorite server and is always so very attentive to our needs. The charm of the Northland adds a special touch to the dining experience. Well worth the price.

Easter brunch was a letdown in such a grand room…..no fresh omelets to order or fresh sliced Prime rib …..the buffet was not what I expected out of the Northland for that price…very disappointed…staff was wonderful though….Rivers Bend is 5 stars …would never consider this venue again for food on Easter….

Beautifully decorated and the food was amazing! I had the walleye and tiramisu for dessert! The service was “okay,” but that wouldn’t stop me from returning. Prices are higher end as well.

Our server made the night! Laurra, with 2 RR's was awesome and gave us a great customer experience. My guest had some food intolerances and Laurra knew the menu so well and was able to steer her in a safe food direction. She is top notch and they are lucky to have her there.

A historically beautiful dining room with tall windows. You feel like you are some lace special and the staff make you feel that way too. Exceptional hospitality from greetings at the host booth to the white table cloth table side service and departing thank yous for dining with them. Good variety of menu selections as well as a large bar and wine list. Dinner service began with a cumcumber-mint mousse amuse bouche. My Caesar salad was topped with meaty white anchovies which was a nice surprise to the usual ones that top a Caesar. The sage linguine with duck confit was so delicious that I wished that I had order the full portion and not the half size. My dinner partner cleaned her plate of Teriyaki Salmon with no complaints other than it was delicious. Aside from dinner The Walnut Room also offers breakfast service. A must visit beautiful dining gem in the heart of downtown Green Bay in the historic Hotel Northland. Looking forward to future meals here.

The worse experience ever. If I could give negative stars, I would definitely do so. Practically empty restaurant for breakfast and waiting for almost an hour for the simple order. Service is extremely slooooow, serving three tables. Simple 3 ingredientsomlet was screwedupand we had to wait like 10 minutestogetit replaced. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

The service, drinks and food here are phenomenal. A beautiful dining experience locating in a 100 year old hotel. You can tell the amount of time and effort that goes into maintaining this restaurant and hotel.

We "accidentally" found this place as we were looking for a great steak prior to attending a play. What a gem, excellent service and food. It was very nice that it was quiet, though most of the tables filled up while we were there. Highly recommend!

The service was wonderful, and the food was very good. The restaurant was clean and quiet. Although the prices were a little high it was expected for the service you receive and the quality of the food. Will definitely return to try new dishes.

Dear Diners,

Hotel Northland's Walnut Room, a place of anticipated revelry on New Year's Eve, regrettably unfolded into a saga of misplaced promises and service mishaps.

Our reservations for 7 o'clock were met not with promptness but with an inexplicable delay in receiving our appetizers, leaving us in a limbo of anticipation until an unacceptable 8:30. The supposed follow-up soup became a mythical entity, never gracing our table.

Frustration peaked, and our recourse was a conversation with the restaurant manager. Their acknowledgment of the debacle was accompanied by a full comping of our meal. While a gesture of reconciliation, it couldn't erase the shadows cast over our celebratory spirits.

Regrettably, our waitress, though deserving of empathy in navigating such chaos, fell short in delivering the expected service. Despite this, acknowledging her effort, we left a tip as a nod to the profession rather than the execution.

New Year's celebrations are meant to be an ode to joy, but ours stumbled under the weight of unfulfilled assurances and lackluster service. While the manager's actions hinted at accountability, the experience bore the stains of disappointment.

Should you venture to the Walnut Room, let hopes be tethered to cautious expectations. May your celebrations steer clear of the tumult that marred ours.

Wishing for better experiences,
A Disheartened Party

Amazing food and atmosphere. We love staying at hotel northland and eating at the walnut room. This is our go to for high end food and cocktails. The duck ragout was out of this word and the heath bar cheesecake was to die for. Highly recommend the walnut room.
