Hope this place closes! Guy at the register has a really horrible attitude and will turn his back on you and pretend to make a sandwich if you ask him a simple question. He should not work in customer service if he is unable to do so. Really rude guy.

Owner is one of the biggest A-holes I have come across in this incredibly kind and friendly town. Asked him what he recommended off the menu and he dang near blew his head off at my friend and I who were both super excited to try the spot out. Ruined my day.

The sandwich we got was amazing. Got chips and a soda/water with it. Wish I could find bread like this closer to me.

The Green Lake Sub Co is a seasonal sandwich shop that is a family favorite and has been for quite some time. Their sandwiches are made to order using fresh, high quality ingredients. The service is friendly yet efficient. We typically order to go because we want to eat in the park or have to get back to our boat tied up to the nearby public warf. They are accommodating when placing large orders to go and always have them ready by their committed time. I highly recommend the Green Lake Sub Co for lunch. Be advised they are only open on the weekend during the summer...between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.

Awesome sub shop. We go out of our way to grab a sandwich here every time we're in town. Best subs we've ever had.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. This past Saturday we were looking for somewhere for lunch. My 4 yo special needs child was having a moment. We basically were told we were not welcome if she was going to be screaming. We had literally walked through the door when we were told this. I would have stepped outside to calm her down but wasn’t even given a chance. Zero respect for the special needs community. Sir you need to have a reality check and learn to have respect for others. What a disgrace.

Was looking for a place to have lunch this past weekend. Had a small group so we were looking to see if they had seating. Was told they did until my wife walked in with out 4 year old who was upset and crying because she was hungry. We were then told very quickly that there was no seating. We were told that multiple times in a row. If you have younger kids that get upset you may be refused service like we were.

We called ahead and grabbed 4 de-lish sub combos to go on Labor Day weekend. Bread is awesome and combos of meats, cheeses and veggies are on point. Super fresh. Chief John and the Club were our faves.

This quaint little sub shop is a gem! Yes, there may be a line (a reflection of the quality!) but it moves fairly well and the sandwiches are so worth the wait!! If you are in a hurry and can’t be patient, go to the local gas station for ‘something’ pre-packaged. These sandwiches are made FRESH right in front of you. GLSC bakes their own fresh bread and uses only FRESH ingredients, piled on! Each order comes with your choice of water or a carbonated beverage and chips of your choice (a good variety of types). I had read a review saying they are over-priced. Well, add up a quality sandwich (which, by the way are huge), a drink, and a bag of chips; GLSC is NOT over-priced. These guys bust their butts from 11-2, non stop! I have been a customer for years. We used to buy for my whole family when the kids were little. Now they’re all in their 20’s + and we are still getting subs from them. I look forward to enjoying their subs for years to come. Great job, guys! Thank you for providing such a quality product. ??

Subs are expensive, takes too long to wait for your order and staff is rude. Definitely not worth it. We will stick to Ripon or Princeton for our lunch from now on.

We look forward to GL Sub Co every summer! It’s our Sunday tradition. Huge subs, delish bread. Open Saturday & Sunday this season. We always call ahead especially with a big order, grab a coffee at Sassafras and walk around downtown.

Mediocre sandwiches and incredibly rude staff.

I asked for your bread recommendation and got nothing but an icy attitude and complete rudeness. It was truly so weird; it's easy to be nice and just answer a simple question. But hey, sick burn calling me a Karen. Also, still haven't gotten that full refund you claim you gave me.
