terrible service. ordered salmon hibachi and they gave me shrimp. when told they messed up the chef and waitress proceeded to yell at us and blame us for the mistake. so instead of giving me my full portion they gave me half and charged me for shrimp and steak. we tried to have them fix the charge because shrimp and steak is significantly more expensive than the salmon, again we were met with yelling and when the manager finally came out to help, he took a phone call in the middle of us trying to explain what happened and went outside. when trying to leave the waitress blocked the door and told us we couldn't leave. awful awful service i would never go back here again.

The worst service of my life, they got our order wrong and when they present the incorrect food we corrected them and the waitress sent the chef out who yelled at us. After all that they still brought the wrong order out again and billed us for an even more expensive meal. The manager was no help, he just took a phone call during our explanation and walked away. TERRIBLE

Their customer service is awful. My wife ordered pink lemonade and when we got the lemonade there was black specs in the lemonade. The restaurant smells horrible they make you wait 30 minutes at the table for hibachi before coming to prepare your food. I truly don’t recommend this place this isn’t out of being mean it’s out of honesty please do better because you guys have good food but I couldn’t eat it this time due to the poor atmosphere in the inside.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The only good thing here is the drink menu. We wanted to try the new kpot next door but it was a 2 hour wait so we came to Japanica. There was no sense of order while we waited in line to check in. No one was acknowledged and we waited for about 20 mins to be seated. We sat at a table with no grill because it was quicker to be seated there then wait for a grill table. The drinks were amazing and so was our waitress. We waited a long time for a food and when it finally came it was ice cold. I told the waitress and all they did was microwave it. Waste of $40. Wish I read the reviews before coming here when other good restaurants are right near by.

I wish I could do 0 stars❗️ Didn’t want to service me because it was ONLY ME! The lady literally denied my service and told me to do hibachi it’s a 2 person minimum then told me I could sit next to this family of 3 when I asked could I sit a chair down from them (to give them privacy and not be so close to their child) she said she didn’t think so and she would have to see so I left and would never go back again.

As always, Japanica for the win! The service, chef show, and food are all incredible! Huge menu selection, full bar, and clean environment add even more. Be sure to make reservations for large groups, or prepare to wait for a hibachi chef.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, keto, and Paleo options all available.Parking: Enormous surface lot with plenty of handicap spaces availableKid-friendliness: I always bring the whole family...Ages 5-65Everyone has a great time and I've never heard a single complaint about the food.Wheelchair accessibility: Aisles are wide open. Plenty of accessibility throughout.

Went to dinner there on Friday night, a total of 5 of us. We were seated right away, but ended up waiting 30-40 minutes before a chef came to our table. Mentioning this so you know that just because you are seated right away, it does not mean you're going to be taken care of right away.While we waited for the chef, drink orders were taken and brought out, and then our food orders were taken. We were at the hibachi table because most of us wanted hibachi, but one in our party wanted teriyaki. When he attempted to order it, the waitress responded, "No you sit at hibachi, you get the hibachi steak." He was very polite and agreed, even though my feeling is that it doesn't matter that we were at the hibachi - 4 of us wanted hibachi, and 1 didn't, you can serve appetizers and sushi at the hibachi, it should not have been a problem to accommodate, especially for $30+ meals.The chef was fun and entertaining; we had hibachi chicken, filet, and shrimp amongst us. Chicken and shrimp were delicious, steak was well done despite ordering medium. Veggies were good; rice was mid.Food - 4 stars due to incorrect doneness of steakService - 4 for the chef; 1 for the waitress

I had the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had here last night. I’ve never written a review like this, but this experience warrants being shared.We arrived at 6:50pm for our 7pm hibachi reservation. We had 5 children under the age of 10 and 4 adults. We made a reservation for this very reason, as children quickly grow impatient when hungry and so we were hoping to not have to wait an extended period of time. We checked in immediately and they told us our table would be ready shortly and to have a seat. It took over an hour to finally be seated at our table. While we were waiting, we pursued drinks at the bar for the adults and children, and never ended up getting served after waiting for over a half hour. I understand that sometimes things fall behind, but this was never communicated to us, nor should it run behind by an entire hour for a table.Once we were seated at our table (after 8pm), we had 5 very hungry children and were hopeful we’d be able to eat soon. We waited another 45 minutes for our hibachi chef to come begin cooking our food. When he finally finished another table and came to greet us, he realized that our table hadn’t been turned on and therefore we had to wait another 10 minutes for it to heat up. It’s 9pm and we had been sitting at our table for almost an hour and nobody thought to heat up the table?!We were treated to a couple appetizers “on the house” that we hadn’t ordered while we waited, which we appreciated, but then they showed up on our bill at the end of the night and had to argue with the server to have them removed. Additionally, our chef served people the wrong amount of food because he entirely forgot one person’s order so after everyone else was done eating, he had to go and cook more.Once we finally got our chef and he began cooking our food, he went around with the spray bottle for the children and sprayed “water” into my 7 year old nephew’s mouth… which turned out not to be water. My nephew instantly started saying that it was burning his mouth and the chef came back to say that it was just “flat sprite”. We’re pretty sure he had accidentally given him some sake.Needless to say— we do not recommend and will not be returning.
