The location has really declined and completely needs to be re-staffed. I remember when this place first opened; the staff was friendly, talkative, and helpful. Now, the energy has shifted, and no one seems happy to be there. Since it’s the closest location to my home, I now find myself driving by to Southridge or even the Morgan location on 27th because they provide better service.
I visited tonight with good, bubbly energy. When I pulled into the drive-thru to pick up my online order and gave my name, the worker—who didn’t carry herself professionally like a barista—just said, “PULL AROUND!” This really threw off my vibe. When I got to the window, I had to wait, and when she finally came over, she greeted me with an unenthusiastic “Hi” and handed me my drinks before abruptly shutting the window. I was left thinking, “Wow, what a disappointing experience.”
It seems like the entire crew is annoyed by the orders. I should mention that we didn’t request any specific modifications with our drinks. In fact, the last few times my husband and I placed orders there, he suggested that we should avoid that location (Loomis & Layton Ave).
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE WINDOW AND THE VENTI ICED MOCHA WAS MADE PERFECTLY!

Starbucks across the board is pretty standard with their recipes. But this was was super clean and they're seating area was super clean and larger.

Double Chocolate Brownie: I'm the endangered American that can rarely be spotted in a Starbucks. Nothing against them, I just tend to think it's a little over-priced and I prefer to brew my own cup of joe. Starbucks gift cards tend to be popular rewards at my place of work though, so I’m guilty of collecting them to use on bakery items. Their Double Chocolate Brownie is described as rich and containing generous amounts of semi-sweet chocolate chunks. Texturally I found the brownie to be more fudgy than cakey, which is a plus in my book. The chocolate chunks are abundant, but they're a little too dark/bitter for my preference (not bad though). Even though I prefer milk chocolate chunks, I do love the contrasting texture that the crisp chunks add to the soft and chewy brownie body. That brownie body is also satisfyingly thick and as described, mouthwateringly rich. This product is impressive for a non-homemade brownie. My only complaints are it doesn't come with frosting (I added my own at home) and it costs $4. If I can make a batch of eight brownies myself for less money than one of these and mine taste better, then why get one from Starbucks? Doughboy approved 😋, but only if my oven breaks or somebody else is treating.

On August 28th, my friends and I placed a mobile order just a few minutes before arriving. When we pulled up, there were no cars ahead of us or behind us. The barista immediately scolded us for not giving them enough time before pulling in the drive through and said we should have waited longer in the parking lot because their new algorithm needed to catch up.
The interaction felt strange and unsettling. We had ordered ahead, and there was no line, so it was unclear why it mattered if we had a mobile order or ordered at the drive through… it would’ve taken the same amount of time to prepare…. I had never experienced anything like this before.
She also told us they would need more time since we had not waited, but then they were ready within 30 seconds.
When we left the parking lot between 1:42 & 1:43… we checked the app and it clearly said our order would be ready by 1:40
Overall, it was a confusing and disappointing experience in terms of customer service and making us as customers feel like an inconvenience. I don’t understand why you’d ever tell a customer to wait in the parking lot.

Waited in the drive thru line for a caramel apple spice just for them to tell me they had no apple juice. There was no way to get out of the drive thru so I had to wait to get to get out of the line. This is asinine.
I don’t really ever write reviews but I feel like this needs to be addressed, I used to work at Starbucks and I understand policies but this was just not it. The lady at the window did not have an apron on so I couldn’t identify who she was, I asked her about my order to clarify why my drink was rang out like it was and she did explain which is fine and then she walked away, no conversation at all at the window besides that, I felt very unwanted and not welcome, they didn’t write on my cup, my drink tastes very close to swamp water and chemicals and then right when she handed me my drink I asked for a straw and she completely ignored me and walked away again. She came back and looked at me and I asked her again for a straw, handed it to me and then as I was pulling away I could hear her talking on the headset about how I asked about clarification on my order to the other baristas. Overall it felt very unprofessional and I know as I used to work at Starbucks for almost 3 years this is not the standard Starbucks holds for their partners.

This is the slowest and most inefficient Starbucks in the city!!! Drive thru is outrageously slow.

I asked for a grande ICED cinnamon dolce latte with no whip. I ended up receiving a hot latte with whipped cream with the literal receipt saying iced.

Walked in and was waiting long for my order. They make more mobile orders and have people that walk in wait. Then the lady told me rudely I need to be patient

Employees super nice and always do their best, however,
Last two times ive been here:
1.last week: drive through closed and getting drinks inside took a long time.
2. Today (5/26/25) drive through line about 20 min long, cars were attempting to back out of line.

Was in this location on Sunday May 18th. I did an online order for 3 drinks, the first one made was the hot drink it then took another 7 minutes to make the first cold drink. The last cold drink took another 5 minutes to make. The two blended cold drinks sucked. They were not really blended all the way and they tasted off. My drinks kept getting put off being made because of the drive through. Which is what this sucks.

The manager of the store, Tanya, spoke to me with a rude tone and was like this from the minute we started ordering. She corrected me in a scolding manner when I called a drink a name they are not able to use. While it is understandable, there was no need for her to be that dismissive. I did not want to continue my order there and left.

I usually have great experiences at Starbucks, but my visit this morning was really disappointing. The person working the drive-thru was unhelpful and dismissive while I was ordering. I asked for a specific sandwich that I usually get, and he told me it was discontinued even though it was clearly still listed on the menu board and available to order through the app. I want to be clear: if it had been sold out or unavailable, that would have been totally fine, I just would’ve appreciated an honest and polite explanation.
It also didn’t bother me that my usual drink isn’t made anymore, things change, and that’s understandable. But the way the interaction was handled overall just left a bad impression. When I got to the window, he barely acknowledged me, didn’t say anything when handing over my drink, and walked away without a word.
The whole experience felt cold and unwelcoming, which is so unlike the typical Starbucks service I’ve come to expect. I don’t usually leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this was frustrating and so different from what I’m used to that I felt it needed to be shared.
