Taqwa’s is maybe the best Mediterranean cuisine in the Milwaukee area. We had Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, Falafel and the mixed grill player. Everest delicious and fresh! Our waitress, Divya was so welt and friendly, she also makes the best mint tea!! The ambiance is comfortable and we can it wait to comeback!

First visit:
This visit was spectacular. The host took us quickly to a table and provided excellent service through our dinner. Every item that we ordered was SO FLAVORFUL and delicious. All ingredients tasted fresh, cooked to perfection, and brought to the table in a timely manner. This was the first time we went to this restaurant, but it surely won't be the last. Only took pictures of the main course, coffee and dessert. It was that good, no time for pictures XD

Second visit:
This place can't get any better. We had lamb chops this time.. they were so good!! The seasoning and the freshness of ingredients is like no other. And our server Divya was very attentive and serviceable. If this place was closer to home, I'd come more often for sure.

I was very let down by this restaurant. Me and my husband took our three children to enjoy dinner here. When we first arrived I took one look and thought this place is dirty. We were greeted by a bigger woman who was clearly angry and mad. When we sat down to and ordered our plate was visibly dirty just like our utensils. The kebab grill mix was unflavored and most importantly raw in the middle!!! We didnt to make a big fuss so we decided to order from the bakery and go. We stood at the bakery counter for about 10 minutes before being helped by the same angry big woman. We already knew what we wanted to order the lady said it was closed, despite it having an open sign. We left without any bakery goods, as we were leaving my three children looked sadly at the bakery counter and said “Goodbye Taqwas.” I could see the teary sparkle in their eyes. It was devastating, we ended up getting fast food in the area. Although this place serves raw food and bad customer service there is a added gratuity of 18% which explains why the bigger waitress was RUDE. Just like the food, absolutely horrible restaurant this will be the last time I step foot in a local diner like this.😡

Smells great when you walk in the door, and the food is good. Unless you are familiar with the menu items they can be a little confusing. Staff is helpful, but can be a little slow. Very friendly.
