$22 for a fish fry is just too high. Fish is good but wait staff are not friendly and act angry when you ask for a 2nd serving of fish even though it is all you can eat.

The experience was a new one for us. The food was pretty good and the service was great for being a first come first serve dining hall type experience. It was crazy busy but it was decent for everything involved. The ayce fish mixed with ayce sides was a huge plus for the price point compared to other ayce places. 3 stars on atmosphere as it was just packed and the old european style inside is not my personal cup of tea, but it won't deter me from returning in the future.

We've been trying different Wisconsin Supper Clubs. Clifford's was mediocre- nothing really wrong with it, but just not a great experience.

UPDATE 02-16-2024: It had been a long time (7-months) since I was here but since it is Lenten season I figured I would splurge a little for good fish. While the food is still just as good as ever, the price shot up another $2.00 since the last time bringing the total cash price to $27.00 which included a standard 20% tip and (the increased rate) tax, with no soda ~ I think a soda is another $3.00 and I ain't paying that for their soda -(credit card is 3% more - I paid cash). That price is just obscene to me and I don't think I can do it any more.UPDATE JUNE 23rd, 2023. I broke down and had to go to Clifford's again because I moonlighted at another place a couple weeks ago so I had to reset my fish taste buds back to Clifford's. A certain BBQ place had a special AYCE fish fry price of $14.00 for only a week so I had to step out and give them a shot. Their fish at the BBQ joint was pretty much dry as hell and highly spiced. While the spiciness was okay, the dryness of it was not. So back to Clifford's I went tonight and it was dammed good, as usual, I ended up paying $25.00 with tax and tip though which still stings 10 hours later. Oh well.....Update 03-24-2023. Well I stepped out to Clifford's after a long 4-month hiatus from them because I felt so snake-bit because of the high price last time. Well, they did it again by going up even more. It was just me this time [with no $3.00 mostly flat softdrink], tax, and with my usual 20% tip and it cost me $25.00. It would have cost me even more ($28.99) because they have now added a surcharge of 3.99% if you pay with plastic instead of cash. I just happened to have the cash on me this time which was unusual for me. So, I think Clifford's has just priced themselves right out of my business until they lower the price back down to earth. I used to eat there at a minimum of once a month ~ sometimes more. Since my last visit was in November, that means instead of making about $80 off of me about every four months they only made $47.50 in the last four months which is a loss of about 47% so far if my math is kinda correct. So, jacking up the price has backfired on them in my case at least, and since I will likely be going even less often, their losses are going to grow even more than that. I have a feeling others are thinking the same, so that means they will probably end up jacking the price up even more which will likely have a vicious affect on their bottom line. I mean I like Clifford's fish fry as much as the next guy but I don't believe I like it that much even if it is all-you-can-eat. See ya later Steve and Elaine.****************11-11-2022-Once again, another top notch experience for us at Clifford's for the fish fry. No place I'd rather be on a Friday. You can have as many plates as you want just like this one and walk out full as a tick, as opposed to the one-and-done joints where you walk out hungry and pay more. At Clifford's, you can get the all-you-can-eat fried fish every day ~ you don't have to wait until Friday. They are getting a little too pricey now, however. For two of us, without softdrinks, plus tip and tax cost us $45.00. Yeesh!Features: It's all wide open as far as us patrons, but the servers all wore masks.
