“I regretted the fact all these years I didn't come to this restaurant til about a year ago... I'm pretty set in my ways...but I will tell you this...I LOVE their menus!! The waitresses are awesome, always BUSY, a very good sign of quality food are being served... I highly recommend this place... YOU WON'T be DISAPPOINTED!!!!“

Awesome selection and good hit food was available I had the spaghetti one grandson had grilled cheese, the other one had hot beef with gravy, and their dad had salads.

“Well this was our first time here most of the food was good, with one confusion one of us ordered blueberry pancakes well most places the berries are cooked in the pancakes but here it was just a normal pancake with blueberry pie filling on top of the pancake and cold !!! He ate it but grumped about it.“

“Excellent food and service. Prime rib was incredible (should've been called prime roast) queen was huge and incredibly tasty. Ribs were fall off the bone Excellent. Our waitress, server, bartender was amazing. Will definitely stop in when back in the area. I give it a 10 out of 10.“

“We went for the first time last night for the fish fry. Everything was amazing! The fish was lightly breaded and had great taste, it, along with the steak cut fries were cooked to perfection. A tasty old fashioned. Fantastic service from Bonnie. My niece inhaled her burger, and we even shared a delectable dessert. Wonderful experience!“
“The people at this restaurant know EXACTLY what they are doing, and what they are doing is creating an experience like no other that I've had. It was nothing short of spectacular. Everything about it was top notch. When walking up to the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile immediately. The outside dining creates an atmosphere of relaxation. Overlooking the lake/log competition arena was super nice. There was no competition happening, so we got to see the serene view of the still water, an occasional kayaker paddling by. I commented several times that it felt as if you were sitting in a southern outdoor restaurant, enjoying a fine dining experience, while sitting in an up-north cabin. It was a surreal and awesome combination. Our server, Emile, was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. She added a comfortability to our experience that you don't often find. The food....the food that Chef Troy planned and Sous Chef Angela executed for us was truly spectacular. The new tastes and knowledge that Chef Troy have brought to the restaurant is phenomenal. It was beautifully served, perfectly seasoned, the taste was indescribable in the best way. We had crab cake as the appetizer, which was the only crab cake I've ever enjoyed. Fresh crab, not fishy at all. Just delectable seafood. My husband had the salmon sandwich as an entrée. He said he's never had anything so delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the aioli went perfectly with the dish. He even commented on the how wonderful the bun was, which we found out later was brought in directly from the Big Easy. I had the filet mignon. This steak was so flavorful, and so tender I literally cut it with my fork. I tested it just to be sure. Finished off with a very rich chocolate cake that could have easily fed 4 at that table, with the right amount of semi-sweet cream that was the perfect compliment to cut the richness and bring out the chocolate. I mean, I literally cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I would return again and again, and drive from Minnesota over to Hayward JUST to eat there. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for dining in Hayward, and be confident that it would hold up against any place out there as outstanding.“
“My husband and I had the best time at Phipps Tavern! You never really know if strip clubs outside of the city will be good or not, but we were already in the area and we decided it would be fun to at least check it out.The place is intimate, and so you’re able to see the stage from everywhere in the establishment. The women working were super friendly and personable, and clearly they were having as much fun as we were! You can actually see women with assets here vs in the city where every dancer is extremely skinny and seemed that they were practically forced to work. We loved the diversity of the dancers here too to be sure that everyone can find the type that speaks to them!Our only complaint, and this probably is some sort of rule that we didn’t know about, was that we asked several ladies for a dance after they went off stage (which they agreed to), and none of them came to get us from the stage after they were done. If this is some sort of rule where dancers can’t get you if you’re at the stage, then I only ask that in the future, they say so since we’ve never encountered such a rule at other establishments and didn’t know. We were really bummed that we left without a dance, and we wanted to support the amazing women working here who did such an incredible job. Oh, and guys who come to watch for free, don’t be a cheap jerk, you’re here to pay to see these amazing women, so don’t sit in the back expecting not to get called out!Shout out to Lollie, and I unfortunately didn’t get the other women’s names we saw, but you all are beautiful and we had so much fun getting to interact with you on Friday!We hope to be back to visit again!“
“Diane is working by herself so don’t expect snappy service. She is absolutely delightful and a pleasure to talk to about anything. You can order whatever you want as long as it’s a burger and fries. And let me say that the half pound burger on a sourdough bun is among the BEST I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the quaint and cozy atmosphere as well. She only takes cash so be prepared and tip her well.“

“We have been coming to Hayward for 20 years and this was seriously the best chicken bowl that I’ve ever had and hands-down the best kids food. The fresh vegetables, including baked potato was magnificent and the mac & cheese was hands-down the best bar food mac & cheese ever. Service was also excellent. We will actually already be coming back here tomorrow again to eat ! Can’t get enough“

“I work in the industry, so I hate putting a place on blast, but jeez. it was awful. I always thought it was an old adage that the steak was tough as old shoe leather, but I finally experienced it. The tenderloin sandwich was inedible. The bourbon sauce was good, but couldn't make up for the fact that the meat could barely be cut with a sharp steak knife. How do you make tenderloin that tough? The chicken BLT tasted okay, but was sloppily thrown together. And the fries!!!! How do you get thin cut fries to be so soggy and limp like chow mein noodles? I planned on going back to see if the Italian Beef stood up to where I grew up, but I won't be going back. $35 for 2 sandwiches with fries? No drinks, no apps? This was a $24 order tops at any reasonable joint, and one that serves way better food. I'm aware that most of the reviews are good, but I'm sure that's family and friends. If you've never been, don't go. It was like flushing $35 down the toilet. Even McD's would have been better. Sorry.“
