We vacation in the area and one of places to go to is JBs. The bartenders are amazing and the food is amazingly delicious. I wish I lived up north as I'd be here all the time.

We had a nice meal, my ribeye was a perfect MR, my wife’s grouper was also great. This was our first visit. I am a restaurant guy. My take away was that I think they should be charging around 10% more for the food quality and using that money to stabilize their staffing model…just my 2¢…we will come back

Not sure how this bar can get good reviews for service because our experience with the bar tender was on a whole level of bad attitude . And owners or workers letting very young kids run around the bar as a playground, does not qualify putting up a sign in the door that says “family business” ! My group came in to order drinks and food (cannot say if food is any good)but not after the bartender attitude . We left and went up the road and got 5 star service and food, plus ice cream bar @ the dock bar and grill.
We visit the area often and look for good places.

Visited 10/4/2025. Three out of our four dinners were delicious and well prepared. The fourth dinner, a ribeye, was over cooked. When the server was informed, she told us they were too busy to cook another steak (?!) and said that if we weren’t happy with it they would take it off the bill. When paying the bill, the steak was not removed from the tab. When we pointed it out, she asked how much of the steak was eaten…making it seem as though the person who ordered the steak should have just gone without eating. Obviously our plates had been cleared from the table at that point, but I told her less than half the steak was eaten and we were offered a to-go box that we refused. Our server was one of the owners and while efficient, her manner was brusque. It was clear she didn’t want to comp the meal but when we pointed out again that the steak wasn’t cooked properly and we were told no replacement could be offered, she reluctantly agreed to take it off the bill. What could have been a really nice meal left a bitter aftertaste!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Always an excellent experience! Cocktails are fantastic — smoked Old Fashioned is a favorite. Potstickers are the perfect start, and dinners never disappoint: the honey balsamic glazed salmon with salad and roasted asparagus was amazing, the Friday fish fry walleye with rice pilaf was spot-on, and even the crab we added to share was outstanding.
Service is quick and friendly, and everything tastes deliciously homemade. We also love the personal touch from the owners’ daughter — she brings a little extra joy to each visit.

A laid back great place! We really enjoyed the food.
We. Are. Stunned. Everything we ordered was home made and fresh. I wouldn’t be surprised if they made their own butter. I had the full rack of lamb and they were the most tender I’ve ever had… anywhere. No lie. This place is a bit pricey but worth every penny. Can’t recommend it enough. Staff is super friendly.

Excellent food. We tried this place due to hearing good things about it from some of my coworkers. Fantastic food. I was pleasantly surprised to see mussels on the menu, and they did not disappoint. The steaks were also very good and perfectly cooked.

Great little hidden gem! Family owned restaurant with amazing food! Dont go if you're in a rush. The wild rice soup was the best ive had in a long time! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the walleye had the perfect crunch! Everyone is so friendly and had so much pride in what they did! Thank you all so much and cant wait to see you all again!!!

Completely impressed! Our group of two couples shared 3 lbs of crab legs and the amazing cookie ice cream skillet—what a feast! We hadn’t planned on going all out, but we’re so glad we did.
The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was great to see and catch up with other locals dining there. We didn’t try a burger this time, but they looked absolutely incredible—definitely on the list for next visit!
A fantastic spot for both good food and good company. Highly recommend!
