Rusty Hook Saloon and Smokehouse

Stopped for a late lunch. We got our beers but the bartender was more interested in talking to an other customer than asking if we wanted food. We have eaten there before. But our once a year stop probably won't happen anymore.

We stopped by for a quick drink on our way back to the campground and ordered 1 beer and 1 mixed drink, the total was $14. I was kind of shocked at the price since the beer was Busch Light and the drink was just a vodka soda. Nothing fancy. The bartender wasn’t very engaging.There was free popcorn.

Parmesan baked cod, steamed shrimp and the extras (red potatoes, coleslaw and corn muffin) were excellent. Wait staff friendly and on top of things. Looking forward to our next visit, ribs sound delicious.

Outstanding chicken, very moist. Some of the best I've had. Coleslaw, potatoes, and muffin were great as well. If your getting it to go ask for plastic ware, we did not and had to figure out how to eat it all by hand. Ended up bending the lids to make scoops. Will definitely be back again.

Pretty good brisket. Coming from a brisket snob. It's worthwhile stopping for. Wish they served something besides chips with the sandwich.

BBQ is awesome.

So pleasantly surprised by the ribs!! Fantastic! They even endured the 35 minute ride home. I don't want to give less that 5 stars because the ribs were so good. Brisket was just ok. Not bad. Just ok. Service was great. And their in-house bbq sauce is delicious. I recommend the smokey. Coleslaw doesn't get enough credit. If you know, you know. I don't know if it's Rusty Hooks own personal recipe, but it deserves a thumbs up as well. I will surely be back!! (I've been to the south. Had some of the best Texas BBQ that everyone craves. These ribs are ON point!)
