Stunning! I'm rarely wowed by a restaurant, but my visit to Johnny Manhattan's was wonderful in every way. As my wife and I walked in, we were amazed by the scale and beauty of the place. The hardwood bar needs to be experienced firsthand to understand how spectacular it is. Then you see the impressive fireplace and the charming dining area, and I was loving it before we even did anything there. We arrived early, so we went to the bar for drinks. My wife, the couple we were with, and I were each impressed with the size of the pours. We ordered a few glasses of wine, a fantastic classic Wisconsin Old Fashioned, and a bourbon on the rocks. The amount we were poured each was impressive, especially compared to other restaurants we've been to lately. The service was fantastic. We were constantly catered to, even though the place was packed. We were each shocked to learn our waitress was new and just starting to fly solo because she was terrific. Finally, and most importantly, the food was excellent. We started with crab cakes and escargot. Both were absolutely stellar. The salad and bread service were delicious, too, and it was a nice touch that the butter came in slices (we didn't have to unwrap them from foil - a small thing but another plus). When our steaks arrived, each was cooked to the perfectly charred medium-rare we ordered (three NY Strips and one Filet Mignon). Paired with mushrooms, sauteed onions, and some of the largest baked potatoes we'd ever seen, we were in culinary paradise. We will definitely be back, and I imagine many times to come. I haven't had a night that perfect in a long time, if ever.

We took the family there last weekend, 7 of us in all and were treated like royalty. When I made the reservation, I told them we would like to sit in a quieter area if possible and Deb, I believe is who I talked to and she said she would give us that. When we got there, they took us to a private room and we were so thrilled. It was so relaxing and we had such a great time. We've been there before and the whole restaurant is absolutely gorgeous so knew what to expect in that area. We had two young ladies waiting on us, Lauren and another, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but she recently moved here from Florida and they were both amazing, very attentive, professional and wonderful to converse with. We had decided to order their pizza ahead of time but ordered three hors d'oeuvres; we had the garlic bread, onion rings and bruschetta and all three were amazing. We all ordered drinks which were also just as good. I can't say enough about Johnny Manhattan's, we're always treated very well. Again our servers were a joy to work with.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Our dining experience was not good. First, we made reservations, when checking in, we were told we could not be seated at our reservation time because they were busy. If I reserved a table at 8pm, I should think it should be ready. We waited for 20-30 minutes. There wasn't any place to sit at the bar so we waited on one of the couches. When we could finally sit at our table, the waitress took our orders. She was prompt and courteous. When we got our dinners, my cousin got the rack of lamb and it was so salty that she just returned it and didn't want to get anything else. She tried my meal and didn't care for it. I got a pasta dish that supposed to be prime rib flattened and rolled with a cream cheese and herbs over pasta with a tomato sauce. Sounds good right? It wasn't. It was bread crumbs with seasoning. I've made spaghetti and meatballs better than that. Don't waste your time or money here. It's also overpriced. Go get good food at Jimmy's in Jackson. Outstanding food and service.

Everything was just right. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Service, food, drinks & atmosphere were all top notch. It is definitely one of the most pricey restaurants we have visited, but that is a non issue for us & we will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for a lovely dinner experience.

Beautiful place, but still felt comfy, I had the breaded pork chops, best ever, juicey but crispy on out side . I cold only eat 3/4 of one pork chop and you get 2, chefs vegetables were great. Potatoes was big enough for 2 easily. Salads were put together beautifully, every thing was fresh and delish!
It was all very good! Food ,service and the drinks were all excellent. We will be back soon!

As always, an excellent experience. 4 people, 4 different orders and all came as same time. Although we had a good waiter, he did seem distracted at times but had an outstanding personality.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is absolutely delicious and the service is always outstanding! Id rate this place 10 out of 10 stars if I could!
