Bennett's Chop & Railhouse - Hudson

Always great food!! Our waitress, Michelle, was terrific! I had the walleye and my husband had the Meatloaf. Both were excellent! We had the treat if the carrot cake and that was totally yummy!

We thought was just great, and will visit when in Hudson, WI. Last Thursday when scheduled our table for noon, went smoothly. We picked up my wife's repaired wedding ring at Inlow Designs , Custom Jewelry, and wanted to celebrate at Bennett's Chop and Railhouse-Hudson was new for both my wife and me. Excellent food and service. My food order was a departure from my usual favorites cause the Creole Meatloaf just really sounded good, and let me confirm for ya, it was!

It’s so great to have two great steakhouses in Hudson - Bennetts and Mallorys. We actually like Bennetts in the winter season to sit indoors. We’ve never had to wait without a reservation and the food has always been amazing as has the staff. I concur one of the other reviewers they always have oldies playing quietly in the background, and it is another one of the few establishments in Hudson that isn’t overcrowded and completely loud. Really wish they could also figure out how to get a great rooftop patio or something. Their patio is a little sad interior spot that doesn’t look very inviting unfortunately because of their location which is too bad. They would give the other riverfront patio establishments a run for their money if they did get a rooftop patio- the view would be awesome!!!! Have never tried their martinis, but I am impressed with the number of martinis they have I think it’s close to two dozen if not more. we’ve never done it but they offer a deal where you can come and eat dinner and board a bus to the wild game and I think you get two drinks per person and you can bring one on the bus on the way and then they bring you back. Definitely will look to do this the next hockey season.

If you aren’t looking for a patio Bennetts is the place to go for good steak and drinks - especially for martinis, at a good price point.

Very happy with the first trip to Bennett’s. The whole family got to enjoy something a little different and the deserts were also good. Will be back for sure to try out other menu items.

I got a Groupon to use here so my cousins and I went. We each got a burger and I got a martini. Our waiter wasn't super knowledgeable about the menu when we asked questions he didn't know much and wasn't very friendly, kinda acted like he'd rather be somewhere else. The burgers were delicious tho and my drink was pretty good, not the best I've had. We ended up getting a salad and a piece of cake to go. The next day we opened up the cake box to share it and it was the worst looking cake we'd ever seen. We didn't open the box at the restaurant and we should've. But it literally looked like someone scraped the bottom of a cake pan and got all the crumbles and shoved it in a box. It was crazy looking. And not cheap. So that was bizarre. The music was nice tho, oldies. And not too loud. The booth was comfortable and the bathrooms nice. Not sure we'd go back but maybe, the burgers were really good and half price the night we went.

Dinner at Bennetts last night was excellent. The top sirloin was flavorful, tender and cooked perfectly with delicious brussel sprouts and salad. My husband ordered triple filet medallions. Best meal we have enjoyed on our vacation. Our waiter, Luke, was excellent! He was attentive and obviously happy at Bennetts. Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff and good food! This is a nice place and the menu seems to have something for everyone.

I took my wife here for her 70th. birthday and we had a great time. Excellent food, service, staff and atmosphere plus a great selection of background music. We live in Isanti MN and we drove over 1 hour to get here and it was well worth the drive!

Terrible!!! 5 people Orders. Three of us had the strip steak. Two were good. Third ordered med/rare. 1st steak came back well done. 2nd steak came BLUE and raw. This person never ate dinner Beans were the vegetable. We all had 7-8 on our plate. 4th person had the scallop/risotto dish. 3 small under an inch scallops on totally bland risotto. 5th person had fish fry. 1st order was burnt and sent back. 2nd order wasn't burnt but it tasted so bad it was sent back. This person also did Not eat. Sad part is it was to celebrate two birthdays. Oh and the waitress mentioned that there was a translation issue with the cook. Good to know that the cook can't even speak English. If I could give a zero rating, I would.

The experience was great from the time we walked in the door. Food, service and atmosphere..would make the trip again.

Had contact with Tayllor, Kelly & Cory. All very good at what they do. Food was very tasty. We had bacon-wrapped shrimp for an appetizer & Lobster for main meal. DELICIOUS!

Horribly understaffed. Had to find someone after 20 minutes of no human in sight. Waited another 29 minutes for drinks. Had to go to bar personally to get them. Need to fix your staffing levels especially for the weekend. Everyone was doing their best but clearly they are not staffed to where they should be.
