This was our first time at this restaurant. We were surprised that our table was asked to leave after finishing dinner, and paying.
We've never had that happen before. The six of us left and had drinks at another nearby restaurant.
And you can see by the smirk response by their management, they have a negative attitude.

I am so glad that I set up my office Christmas dinner of 26 people at Black Rooster! From the moment that I walked in, there was someone there to take any requests that I might have had. Our servers as well as the owner took every request and provided results very quickly. The food was amazing! I had the scallops and cleaned my plate. Drinks were fantastic. I can not wait to go back with my family and enjoy another meal in this phenomenal establishment! Great work Black Roster! Keep it up!

This place is amazing! They've been open for 3 years and I just tried it yesterday because a buddy brought me. Amazing craft drinks and the prices were extremely fair for what you get. Owner was behind the bar working with everyone else. She has a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun! You need to check this place out if you haven't yet.

The food is all prepared in-house and is excellent. I asked for a Ranch Water, which some bartenders struggle with, and it was made perfectly. Though in the basement, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing. We will be back.

The entrance is like a speakeasy - small door, down a flight of stairs into a dark room with a large bar - fun. Two drinks we really fun - the smokey nightly special and the hibiscus happiness. Both were excellent. We bypassed the octopus and ricotta dumplings and jumped right into dinner - the bistro burger and the walleye. Both were nicely presented, hot and delicious. I upgraded to the fries - super thin & crispy. The potion was large enough to be shared. But it also doomed any chance of trying for desert. We will be back, try more items, and be more strategic so that warm brownie can make an appearance.

This place has been my favorite since they opened! The owner comes to the table every time I've been in, the wait staff is knowledgeable and so friendly! The food has been perfect every time, especially love the pan seared chicken. The bartenders are friendly and make great cocktails, even accommodating me with my favorite drink that is no longer on the menu. Always my first choice when going out to dinner! Keep doing great things!

I went into this establishment and was greeted very rudely by the host to be sat. Then the server rushed us on getting a drink order and food started then the wait for the drink and food was terrible. I hope they can get this fixed because why have a “fine dine” establishment if you are rude about all of it. I was trying to celebrate my birthday comfortably and was rudely interrupted by what I think was the owner of the establishment about my dinner.

Everything was wonderful. Lamb, pork chop, walleye were perfectly done. The cocktails were perfect had a wide variety between 4 of us at the table and each of them were excellent. Nichole, the owner, has poured into this place and it shows. She stopped by to check in which was appreciated. Worth a drive over the border for a delicious meal and cocktails
