We parked at one end of Hudson and walked the main strip looking for a new place to eat. We stumbled on Black Rooster ?, and it called to us. There's a steep flight of stairs leading you into the cool cave like atmosphere of the place.We had wine ? and smoked old fashioneds (yum) to start. We had the pan-roasted chicken breast ? and seared sea scallops, which were both amazing. The menu rotates, so who knows what we'll get next time (and there will be a next time).Parking: There are pay parking lots all along the main strip (pay only during specific hours).

My other half and I went here last night(Saturday) for the first time. What an amazing experience. I ordered the scallops and she ordered the pork tenderloin. Amazing, both of them! Prepared to perfection. The staff is also so personable while maintaining professionalism at the same time. Their non-alcoholic craft drinks are also great! Oh, and the atmosphere is super cool. Very quaint. It’s our new favorite spot.

Our favorite brunch spot in Hudson! The food is phenomenal. We tried steak and eggs (out of this world), Croque Madame, crab scramble with rosemary potatoes, and enjoyed it all. The staff is also wonderful! Shout out to both Nicoles!

I’m a huge fan of Hudson food and I haven’t been here before.I had time over lunch and stopped down under.Making a decision off the food menu was tough! After consideration, I chose the Wild Mushroom Melt. Wait! Say what? That’s right. Wild mushroom melt (and I like meat).The house salad was really good. The sandwich, ridiculously good. The seasoning, the mushrooms, the bread (Parmesan crusted brioche:-)….amazing. I didn’t use most of the cheddar fondue because the sangwich was amazing.Seriously, the best lunch I’ve had in a long while. The staff was great too, it’s just that damn sangwich (misspelling on purpose)!Sublime. Proper. Legit.

My husband and I found this wonderful restaurant by Google, doesn't have much reviews but the hight score is real. Such a gourmet experience, the place is located in a basement and the style is such romantic, I will say that looks like a French cozy place, the waitres "Nicole" was so friendly well knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. I got lamb and my husband did the steak (Ribeye), both plates were fantastic, fresh ingredients, excelente presentation, gourmet test, is the perfect amount of food. The prices justify the experience without be over price.

This is my second time here! I live over four hours away and I dream of my next visit. This gem is located in the charming downtown of Hudson. Did you know there is a secret menu just for those sitting at the bar? My mom and I had the Proper Lady to drink, beef tartare, smoked walleye dip, chicken and pork tenderloin! The drinks are all hand crafted with great ingredients in front of you. This meal put this restaurant as my favorite in the US!
