Stopped in this morning and grabbed some pretzels and their sweet German mustard….then ran back for a sour dough loaf. I lived in Germany for six years. Their pretzel and mustard really brought me back. Bavarian pretzels in Germany are just different than here in the US. They hit it spot on! Will definitely go back for my pretzel fix.

I absolutely love this place. Good people, who appreciate their customers and are clearly passionate about the product. Good products that are the best around. And a great little location where the community can come together. There's nothing better than going in there on a weekend morning and seeing people there. Hudson is lucky to have such a resource.

Absolutely the best sourdough bread and authentic Bavarian Pretzels I’ve ever had. A must-try in Hudson, WI!!

The best sourdough bread I have ever had in my life. It toasts up all golden and smells delicious. I'm already planning to go back for more. They offer pretzels, jams and teas in addition to bread. Fresh baked, local and friendly is how I would describe Brueske's Bread. We stood in front of a guy in line who drove from New Richmond, WI for the bread and he was so kind and told us all about the different, delicious options they sell. It is worth a trip!

Breads are delicious. They offer wonderful sourdough options. Owners are knowledgeable about bread making and so very courteous. First visit today but my husband and I will be returning soon.

Super high quality delicious bread - I don't have to drive to St. Paul bread smith anymore - Brueske's bread is better.

This has become our weekly routine- hitting Brueske’s every weekend for bread. If you aren’t local to Hudson it’s still worth the drive just to get bread from here. But I’ll warn you they sell Fast!!!! Get there as close to opening as you can for best choice. The focaccia bread is so versatile and wonderful-make a flatbread pizza,, warm in the oven with soup - etc…. Now for those that are gluten sensitive (NOT Celiac) I have even better news - the owner explained that all of their breads are sourdough fermented and that the process they use combined with the natural ingredients is something that reduces the gluten levels to a level that some can tolerate. I’ve now been trying small pieces of the pretzels rolls white bread and focaccia now over the last 2 weeks- with ZERO reactions!!!!! I haven’t purposely eaten ‘real’ bread for nearly 15 years. And my reaction was visible along with physical skin breakouts, itchiness, stabbing gut pain, joint soreness. With this- nothing. Again, not Celiac. I’d encourage you to stop and chat with the owner and give it a try. I’m now up to what I would call a true serving size occasionally- not every meal everyday both for health but also weight management-I likely can do it more often but I shouldn’t unless I want to gain 10 pounds😆🤣😂. This sweet family is a bright spot in Hudson and so please take the time to give some business to what I would call the ultimate example of what small town family owned business support looks like.

Do not miss your chance to experience true joy with their pizza dough starters. It is way cheaper than grocery stores at $/starter and cleaner ingredients.

Their rye bread is my son's main lunch, and it is filling and nutritious.

And, the owners are probably some of the kindest people you will ever meet. I do want them to take me up on subscription to pizza dough because I can't remember some weeks, and it sells out so fast!
