I went here with Debra R, Jose R and a couple of people a few days ago. I had the breakfast ale. Debra R had a stout beer. The other people had a stout and a light color beer. I also got a cute hat. The beer was good and the service was good too. The place has some cool pinball machines and an industrial ambiance that I enjoyed.

Hop and Barrel is a great little brewery in downtown Hudson. They typically have 16 of their beers on tap. On my last stop they had: a Belgian Strong, amber, Octoberfest, West Coast IPA, East Coast IPA, IIPA, Lemon Shandy, Helles Lager, Hazy, Tea, wheat, and more. Service has always been friendly even when they get busy. They have and comedy and other events here so it is certainly worth stopping.

Super cool Main Street store front featuring a bar upon entry with a very large and open seating space with a stage to the left. Staff is super friendly. Service was quick. All glassware all super clean, giving the beers a nice lacing. A solid 15+ beers on tap along with a beer slushee and n/a slushee option. The beers are, decent. Doesn't pack a wow factor but they are all pretty good. I'm going to throw this one a 4.0 up top by I would say 3.5.

Brian! Came here for butcher paper. They acted as if a brewery that makes beer didn't have a clue what butcher paper was... How could they not have paper to wrap cow meat at a place that crafts beer? I of course only buy my butcher paper at places that have nothing to do with meat products. They better start serving beer in origami cups made of butcher paper in the future for me and the other butcher paper guy. I couldn't possibly drink beer out of glass. That would be weird... Also I am Czechoslovakian and enjoy tuning televisions to American football games. The people at the counter seemed to not tune in football for me to enjoy but also had a conversation with what I assume are other employees about developing their careers. They acted like 19 dollars an hour was a bad wage! In Czechoslovakia that would pay for many goats! Spoiled American young adults shouldn't possibly act as if a living wage is realistic.

After lunch decided to stop in here for a quick flight of beers. Unfortunately nothing really stood out to us with the exception of one or two beers.

A very large beer selection. A surprising number of high avb brews. Not much for ambiance. Stark and pain atmosphere.
Lots of beers to try in the taproom and the also have board games, etc. you can play while you're enjoying their beer. Service was very friendly, I was talking with the bar tender about how I don't enjoy IPAs and she had me try a couple samples of their cloudy IPAs that don't have the IPA bitterness. As a non-IPA fan I really enjoyed them and recommend my fellow non-IPA fans give them a try. I also recommend the Lactose Panda milk stout if you enjoy stouts/darker beers.They seem to have all kinds of events here including music, trivia, and even wrestling matches. I'd be a regular here if I lived in the area (way too cold for me) and I'll stop by for sure if I'm ever in the area again.

In all honesty the beer was so mid I cannot believe this is isn't a homebrewery. The place was really welcoming and they had pinball which kept me there for a bit. The service was nice, just not the beer.
