My bowl was filled with pasta and a very thin " liquid sauce" so it didn't really coat the pasta. There was a few pieces of mushrooms and artichokes and about 8 dime sized pieces of chicken on top. Extremely bland food. The manager came out and and was very apologetic. I told her the food was too bland. I tried to like it but couldn't do it. No flavor at all. She said well the artichokes give it kick. Lol. I almost died of laughter. If that's how you're flavoring a whole meal no wonder the food sucked. Seems to be a reoccurring theme at this place based on other reviews.

Vallentines day! And I NEVER EVER thought in a million years I'd be giving this place a 1 star. So so very sad the decline this place has taken. We wish we would have gone to Buca or Cosetta'a instead this year and will not be coming back anymore. So on vallentines day, this place was known for romance and amazing food! Did I say amazing! Used to be...... this year The frustration started off with sorry we do not have any cappaletties ( sorry if I misspelled) but this place is famous for them! We were not the only ones bothered by this.. other tables were whispering why are they out of everything.. so then we get the food. I am so so so sad to say this but the food was horrible. Bland, cold, tasted like frozen TV dinner food re-heated.. not very happy. I hear the sad story of how the kids of the parents have inherited this place and now a corporate company is taking over. Oh how sad...On vallentines day you should not run out of your most famous dishes. And our server says it's because of the take out orders.. well why not prepare for the biggest couples dinner night of the year in advance huh?? Of the years coming here on vallentines day I have never heard of this or seen it. So sad over this. Most upsetting, we made reservations way in advance because thats how it used to be here!! Drove over an hour and got hit with less than quality food prepared in shameful ways.. no garnish on the plates, no steam coming off the food. No salt and pepper at the table, couldn't get a refill of soda, just all around poor night at Mama Maria's. And it honestly breaks my heart! I really feel this restaurant will be nothing like it used to be now.. sorry for the family's loss but it's sad that the kids will not take over the tradition and keep this resturants heritage and ma and pop feel with amazing food that you tell your friends and family about.I must say I am Extremely sad to have to give this review but it's honest and genuine! We used to LOVE this place.. and so did many of our friends and family.Please fix this!!! It's heartbreaking for true loyal fans of Mama Marias to see this happening!

Good value for money, good food, and great service.I would say they need to be much attentive to their temperature in the dining room, however. Granted, outside it was -3, but it was 62-65 d in the dining room we were seated in. MUCH too cold for a pleasant dining experience.

Absolutely amazing food! One of the best authentic Italian restaurants I have been to! There cannelloni is so yummy! Loved the grouper! Great family place and decent prices, especially for the quality of food! They also serve drinks. Very friendly and accommodating staff!

Very nice ambiance. We sat in the room off the main room and it was a little cold. The food was ok but not like I remember from a few years ago. Service was good.
I enjoyed the atmosphere, so I had high hopes for the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food and service let me down. For starters, the water was served with a speck of food in the ice that melted to the bottom by the end of dinner. The grouper was good, but was tainted by the sauce of the cannelloni which was served on the same plate. I love parmesean cream, but not with my fish. I upgraded my side to the seafood cannelloni, which I was told was a $2 up-charge to later find out it was $7! The meal came with cannelloni and costed $7 more for seafood, which included very little seafood. I kindly asked to speak to the manager who couldn't have cared less about my experience. She said I that I should have requested my side to be on a different plate and that I should know the general rule of thumb is that they are served together. (I thought the rule of thumb is that the food is served as described and the grouper did not mention being served on top of parmesean sauce in addition to it's butter lemon sauce. Real Italians would cringe.) She also told me that the up-charge should have been $3.50 and didn't even offer the refund for being over charged. She was sure to ask us if we were from Minnesota or Wisconsin and made a backhanded comment implying that Minnesotans have been giving them too much business. Went here for my wife's birthday, had to drive to Wisconsin because our Governor is a CCP member and trying to kill small businesses in Minnesota. Very friendly, family run restaurant, the food was great, the service excellent, the atmosphere is very relaxing and well done. Would definitely come back for a quite romantic meal.
