We made a reservation for my parents 40th anniversary as a group of 8, service and food was absolutely amazing! Out of the 8 of us it was 6 of our first time there and we said we’d be back! Highly recommend for a special event, date night or just a good meal! Wishing Olio the very best!

This is a mixed review no doubt. We finally tried Olio at the beginning of February. We started off with a salad that was delicious, followed by a fantastic chicken parm. The downfall came when we ordered the olive oil ice cream. Make no mistake, it was possibly the best ice cream I’ve ever had …. HOWEVER, my husband found a large piece of glass in his last bite 😣. We were comped for the ice cream and two of his beers. I just don’t know that that’s enough considering how dangerous this could have been. He did cut the inside of his mouth but I cannot imagine the damage it would have done had he swallowed it. I’m only writing this review because I sent an email on Feb 3rd as I was not wanting to make this a big deal but I have gotten no response to my email unfortunately. We would absolutely dine here frequently if this was addressed as we live just a few blocks away and eat out very frequently.

I love BBQ, its my thing. But I also love food in general. My wife and I went to dinner tonight to Olio in Bayport for our 16th wedding anniversary (bragging, but mostly because she puts up with me somehow). Simply amazing food. Well planned out dishes, amazing customer service, great drinks. They do everything right. Don't get me wrong, I want everyone to enjoy my BBQ every single day because I put everything I have into what I do, but as far as legit Italian food goes, you really can't get much better. Make reservations, because this place is busy for a reason. Get after it!!

This has been our 3rd visit to Olio since they moved to Bayport. Every dish we have tried has been fantastic, every bite was delicious. The focaccia is perfectly toasted and the eggplant is our favorite appetizer. You cannot go wrong with any house made dish. The service was friendly and helpful with questions. Highly recommend.

North Meets South

We had an amazing meal, great wine selection, the pasta dishes are delicious so much flavor and layers of fresh herbs and spices, the Olive Oil Ice cream provided a wonderful treat to end our experience. We will definitely return to Olio.

Olio has such a cozy relaxing atmosphere and all of the food we had was delicious! The fried eggplant was amazing! We had a party of six so we were able to try a lot of the menu and it was all so good. Britt, our server, was awesome and had great recommendations. You can tell everything is freshly made. We will definitely be coming back.

We made a reservation for four six weeks in advance for a Friday evening at 7:45. Arrived ten minutes early. No tables and no room at the bar. We were sent to Manger down the street to wait for a half hour, which we did. Spent over $100 on wine and oysters. Came back a half hour later, still no table. Had to wait another ten minutes before being seated. Wait staff did little to assist us in ordering. Menu posted online and in the restaurant were different - no short ribs. Will not be going back to Olio but are returning to Manger.

Had an 8:45 reservation, and the hostess was great, and we were seated quickly. Tiny place with just a handful of tables. Ordered Bruschetta for an app, and it was really good, but just two pieces. Ordered two Caesar salads that we never received, but were charged. No big deal, because we said we would take them with the meal. There were two servers, but at this time there were only 3-4 tables with diners sitting. Our server never checked to see if we needed anything for the 75 minutes we were there. The hostess delivered our entrees. Service was poor. Entrees are very small, and my crab dish (Paccheri) quite literally had zero crab, however the flavors were great. My date had Calamarata, and it was pretty good, but again very small portion. Because of the size of the place, it was loud. Hard to hear across a small table. Spent just over $100 (without the salads we didn’t get) for 1 drink, 1 non-alcoholic drink, 1 Bruschetta and 2 entrees. The topper was they didn’t have the ice cream to make an Affogato for desert.I want to go back, because the flavor of my entree was fantastic, but, the rest will keep me away.
