I am 59 years old and have been going to the Bell Chalet as long as I can remember. Was disappointed when the old location closed so was happy to hear that a new location opened. The menu and food was the same. I haven't been for about a year but then the pizza was great as always. I also am in the habit of ordering an order of gnocchi to go for the next day's lunch and it was the same as always. However, my husband and I visited recently for our anniversary and the food was awful. The bruschetta appetizer was soggy garlic bread with canned tomatoes. We could not eat it. I ordered the gnocchi, my husband had the tour of Italy with the gnocchi and half meat/half cheese ravioli. This pasta cannot possibly still be homemade. It was so heavy and flavorless. I have had frozen gnocchi and ravioli from the grocery store taste better than this. We did not take the leftovers home and there were plenty. Also, they need to update the menu. My husband wanted the sausage and peppers but was told they no longer have that even though it is still on the menu. They need to remove homemade from the menu. If the pasta is still homemade the "cook" needs more training on how to properly make homemade pasta.

My family used to go to the Bell Chalet at its old location in downtown Hurley. It was a favorite for its homemade pasta. Now that I’m frequently in Ironwood, I’ve become reacquainted with it in its new location S of Hurley, run by the next generation of the family. Close to trails. Still so good. Homemade cheese ravioli with red sauce. Steak cooked rare just like my mom likes. Crispy, non greasy chicken wings. & their special version of Cesear salad Currently open Tues-Sat from 4-8.

We go to "the Bell" for pizza once or twice a year and we are never disappointed. The variety of pizzas are great, and I love supporting a local restaurant. I can't wait to visit again soon.

I still think this is the best pizza in the area. The Ceasar salad is better than ever. Pasta night has your choice of sauce and style of pasta.
