Met owner and got the history of the 100+ year old building. He has owned for 40 yrs. Was orignally a stage stop to change horses on trip from Galena Illinois to Miwaukee WI. Nicely decorated dining area separate from bar. A little like going to dinner at grandmas. Good food, friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced.

Great food, I had chicken tenders and my friend had a cheeseburger and fried mushrooms everything was delicious. Couple of cold beers...what a great lunch. We're going back for the fish fry.
