My husband and I first came into contact with Van Abel's of Hollandtown when we were searching for a wedding caterer. We requested a tasting and were easily scheduled for one. Let me just say, we should've prepped for a meal! Van Abel's was kind enough to provide a MOUNTAIN of food for us to try - as foodies, we were so excited that we could take any leftovers home with us. We booked their catering service shortly afterwards.

Prior to the wedding, we were in constant contact with Van Abel's to determine price, number of guests, style of dinner, and more. Van Abel's was familiar with our venue, so they were knowledgeable about set-up, as well. Even though our meal was buffet-style, the catering staff was prompt, attentive, and SO SO KIND! We received so many compliments from our guests about the food and the service.

If we were ever to redo our wedding, we would pick Van Abel's of Hollandtown immediately. We thank them for being a highlight of our wedding!“

“Just tried this at the Neenah Farmer’s market! I had the buttered sweet corn, chicken strips, and loaded fries. Simply amazing; would definitely recommend.“

“This place is excellent, I was able to sample 4 different smoked meats and they all were delicious. I went on a Friday for lunch and the place was consistently packed. The owner was extremely apologetic for the wait, which was no problem. she was very busy, and was still able to be kind, attentive, and happy. The family that runs the business seem like great people. My Husband raved about the cornbread, and the beans. I liked the mac and cheese. Neither of us are potato salad fans but their potato salad was good. I was not a huge fan of how the food was served, however this is an extremely busy mom and pop place, so paper and plastic probably work best for them. Eating meat out of foil is not really my jam, but the food is so good regardless. It was my friend's birthday they brought her a slice of desert, which was so lovely. I walked away from this place excited about going back soon!! If you love BBQ this hidden gem is a must!!“

“I ordered two Party Packages for an event that I had and they had everything ready when I picked it up and they even loaded it into my vehicle. My quests loved the food and kept asking where I got it from. The beef brisket was a fan favorite. I would definitely order from them again. If you are looking to serve a large group (I had over 100 people) and give them great food this is the place to go!“

“Exceptional customer service. We were left in a pinch with another company, but 4 Schmidt’s and Giggles BBQ saved the day. Easy communication leading up to the events and checking in the following day to ensure everything was what we expected. Our guests raved about the brisket and chicken for a taco/fajita meal at our Holy Guacamole themed party. Highly recommend and will consider using for future business. Thanks again!!“
