I just bought two chocolate chunk chip cookies today. Hard as a rock! I wouldn’t even say day old. A week old maybe! Disappointed totally. Doughnuts maybe, cookies never again.

My husband went at 6 this morning to get muffins for his family Christmas. The muffin selection was very small. He brought some extra home for us to eat for breakfast. Most of the muffins were hard, so we tried warming them in the microwave. They were very dry and my kids wouldn’t even eat them. I think they were quite old. After trying them, my husband didn’t want to take them to his family Christmas.. so we are currently baking our own. He said the donuts looked really good, so I don’t doubt that they do donuts or other baked goods well!

Hilltop bakery has been our families favorite bakery since they opened. My mom use to stop on the way to school and I did the same when I was a kid walking to Nicolet 30+ years ago. I loved it when my mom would give me a few dollars to get a treat. Even though we moved away we still enjoy a donut or two when we are in the area. When I got married 18 yrs ago they made my wedding cake which was exactly like the one they made for my parents wedding 20+ yrs before that. And don’t get me started on their cherry chip cookies!!! 😍

Hill top bakery has been a staple to me from as little as I could remember. This is donut shop is a part of my childhood and now that I am adult with 3 kids of my own, I drive from Oshkosh to Kaukauna just to enjoy an amazing donut. Add to the frosting of how great this place is, the employees are warm welcoming and 1000/10 worth the trip!
