The Bakery Bar — Where the food pops, the laughter rolls, and everybody feels like a regular.

Downtown Kewaunee’s got a gem, and its name is The Bakery Bar. Step inside and you’ll find the kind of place that reminds you why “local” still means something. Sam and Kayla run this ship with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of flavor — and if they’re the captains, then Rita is the loud, salty, hilarious first mate keeping the whole crew in high spirits.

The food? Phenomenal doesn’t quite cover it. Every bite has that snap of something made with care and sourced close to home. You’ll taste the difference — from breakfast sandwiches to house made soups, from baked goods to bold new specials. Everything on the plate pops like a song that’s been stuck in your head in the best way.

The camaraderie here is pure gold. Regulars mingle with newcomers like it’s a family reunion nobody wants to leave. The customer service? Sharp as ever — friendly, fast, and genuine. And don’t sleep on the details: those freshly painted tin ceilings gleam with charm, and the heated bathroom in winter? Chef’s kiss of hospitality right there.

It’s cozy. It’s classy. It’s got soul. Whether you’re in for coffee and banter or a full meal that hits all the right notes, The Bakery Bar is proof that small-town flavor can absolutely shine.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — “Come for the food, stay for Rita’s one-liners.”

What a cute little hole in the wall! Everything we had was amazing (pumpkin cheese muffin, bacon bourbon maple sticky bun, smoothie, coffee). You can tell their treats are made fresh and with love. I heard multiple people talking about the homemade biscuits that sounded very enticing so I’d probably suggest those to try on either a sandwich, biscuits and gravy, or just plain! Will definitely be back!

Rolled past on my harley Sunday morning when I caught the aroma of breakfast food in the air! I promptly turned my bike around to find the source and my nose lead me to this most awesome establishment! Walked in to find a wide assortment of fresh baked pastries however my attentions turned to a 3 meat sourdough pancake... and it was only maybe 7 bucks!!!! And It was the size of a dinner plate!!!! I enjoyed said pancake at the bar top and was also tempted to order a tasty brew from their tapper of tasty lookin local brewery but decided not to since it was still early and had many miles to ride back to.... illniois... yuck... HIIIGHLY RECOMEND!

People have said they have the BEST COFFEE IN THE WORLD! . I agree and they’re very nice people.

The coffee was excellent but the breakfast sandwich (on a buttery crumbly biscuit made from scratch) was to die for. I will be back!

We were visiting from out of town and this breakfast was a highlight of our trip. It was a warm, inviting atmosphere- some of the employees even welcomed customers by name. There was a great selection of breakfast. It was hard to choose. Everything was delicious especially the sourdough pancakes. The coffee was great.

There were like barely any items on the food menu and they were out of biscuits, but there were three bags of them on one of the tables and the food was gross.

The atmosphere is fabulous but the food selection is most definitely noteworthy!

Out of towner who stopped for a coffee. Such a lovely place and the employees were so sweet and helpful. Had a stuffed French toast I believe it was called. Absolutely delicious and they are barristers for sure. Our drinks were amazing. Local artwork is displayed and for sale. Very quick service and loved the vibe. Will stop again if I get up North ❤️❤️❤️
