We had a fantastic birthday dinner with both of us doing the smaller 3 course tasting. The food was all delicious and easily enough food. We had a minor issue with one of the dishes and they went above and beyond to make it right.
We will for sure be back again

Great dining experience despite a couple of hiccups: I misremembered my reservation date and showed up one month earlier ? The front desk was kind enough to still seat us. There was an issue with one of the dishes but they resolved it right away. Even bought us extra drinks after our meal. Overall, The food was great (must get the scallop), and the interior was gorgeous. Above all, the service was impressive! Would come back again.

I’ve never seen a more overrated restaurant. ALL of the food, the meat, the butter, the salmon appetizer, and even one of the 3 scoops of ice cream had this strange strong herb taste (tarragon/curry/cumin/ ???) that was awful. My wife and I ate there for our anniversary and we ate less than half the food we were served, Given that the prices are very high ($350 with one beer and 1 glass of wine) that is just not acceptable. The atmosphere was interesting, but just okay. The service though was great and the only reason we didn’t loudly complain about food that was simply terrible. We will never go back.

Welp to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. We had a reservation for 03/30 for our wedding anniversary. My partner and I work in the corporate world and dress in suit and tie Monday-Friday. We were really looking forward to this dinner as we do not have time to treat ourselves much. When we got there the front desk people told us that we were not dressed for their classist restaurant. To be completely frank with you if I’m paying $50+ for a single plate I’m gonna wear whatever I want and it’s not like we were wearing anything like street clothes. We were literally were wearing business casual clothes (NOT THAT, THAT SHOULD MATTER) while leaving the restaurant we saw a gentleman in jeans and a grey t-shirt… so much for a dress code. The whole experience was embarrassing, frustrating, and all around disappointing. Kohlers standards for how people should look is ridiculous. Worry about taking my money not about how I look.

We had our wedding anniversary dinner at The Immigrant. We were excited to try the Chef’s Tasting Menu. The highlights were Rockfish and the Chestnut soup. Other dishes were underwhelming. Service was great.

My wife and I like to treat ourselves to Michelin Star caliber restaurants for special occasions. The Immigrant Restaurant did not disappoint! Our servers--Angle and Cori--did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome, helped make recommendations, and let us feel like royalty for an evening. John--the sommelier--provided us with both great wine pairings and great conversation.I was hesitate to try the Pacific Sea Urchin dish, but gave it a shot at Angle's recommendation. I am so glad that I did! It was delicious, and the type of dish you can only find at a restaurant of this caliber. My wife enjoyed the five course vegetarian menu and I enjoyed the traditional five course menu. Both were great! But, with her getting different dishes, it did give me the chance to sample a whole other side of the menu. Thanks for the great experience!

I absolutely Love this place. The food is top notch! The different tasting menus are all wonderfully thought out. And even if you are not in the restaurant, but just want to pop in the bar, the service there is also very good.
Vegetarian options: The vegan tasting menu was amazing

We don’t frequent the Immigrant. We anticipated 5-star food as we experienced when we visited years ago, but were disappointed. Bread tasted day old. Beef tartare was overloaded with ingredients, including peanuts and a “secret sauce”. The hamachi crudo, prepared with Jamaican jerk seasoning, wasn’t appealing. Note to chef sometimes “less is more”. In contrast, the roasted rockfish was very simply prepared and could have used more flavor. We enjoyed the caviar service but would have preferred blini over the salty gaufrettes chips that were served.

The service was impeccable, but the food was a little underwhelming for the type of place it is.

Overrated, over priced, and left hungry and disappointed. I’ve never sent so much uneaten food back to the kitchen. A far cry from the touted excellence of all things “Kohler”…We frequent fine dining restaurants, and decided to be bold and order the chef tasting menus. One regular, one vegetarian. While all gorgeously plated, most of our dishes were bland or boring and lacked purpose and focus. The gnocchi for my main course was tough and flavorless. The “Potato Fried Rice” was absent of both potato and rice. ? Rather, a pile of stir-fried vegetables I could make at home. The scallops were undercooked, though beautifully seared on one side. The soup (without crab for the vegetarian menu) was overwhelmingly SOUR; maybe too heavy handed on whatever cream was used to finish the soup? The “State fair” “funnel cake” was crunchy. Like a bowl of cereal. Not crispy and soft as a state fair funnel cake should be.We most enjoyed the laminated rolls with smoked tomato butter ?♀️ Following behind the rolls was the Whatchamicallit dessert. We can look past disappointing food with steep prices if the service is impeccable… sadly, it was far from such. Sara our lead server was staunch and cold—befitting of their gray uniforms. She made no effort to make us feel warm and welcome. Abigail was sweet and made us laugh with her quirks, but lacked professionalism for the fine dining setting. Jakob was attentive and you could tell he—and Abigail—were trying hard to please us, but possibly lacked hospitality training to connect the dots and make our experience above and beyond. The dining room was cozy, but no amount of ambiance can make up for the food and service.
