We took a drive to Lake Geneva to do a little sightseeing. When we noticed a Gino's East, we knew that was our lunch spot and it would save us a trip into downtown Chicago before flying back home. The location is great, it is right across the street from the beautiful Lake Geneva. There is a little bit of parking in the hotel parking lot that the restaurant is attached to. Otherwise you need to find street parking. Everyone has their own opinions of the best Chicago deep dish pizza. We have eaten at Gino's in Chicago and others. Gino's is our favorite. There is something about the sweetness of the sauce and the crust. Just scrumptious. Gino's East at Lake Geneva didn't disappoint. We ordered our pie and decided on an appetizer as the deep dish pizzas take nearly 45 minutes and we were hungry. We chose the artichoke dip and it was very good. Nice crunchy chips and the dip had pieces of artichoke and spinach, you could taste both. Our pizza finally came out of the oven and it met all of our expectations. Seems basic but many don't know that the deep dish pie's have the crust on the bottom, the fillings of your choice in the middle with the cheese and the sauce is on top. Like I mentioned Gino's sauce has a really nice sweetness to it, and the crust is crunchy and not to thick. It brought back so many memories of our times in Chicago, and reaffirmed why Gino's East is our favorite. The service was great and the views beautiful.

Simply the best Deep-Dish pizza I have ever had. Staff is excellent, friendly. Every time we visit Wisconsin, we make a point to come to Lake Geneva for this pie. Be prepared, deep-dish pizza takes a while to make so don't be in a hurry. Get a window table, something to drink and people-watch in the beautiful scenery as it cooks. I wish they had a restaurant in Texas.

The view and waitress were nice, but the food was of college dorm quality. Pizza crust was very hard. The beer was unusual, too. The salad was mostly decent except for the wilted parts.

Been here a handful of times now and food is always excellent. Highly recommend the supreme deep dish. Worth the price for fresh and quality ingredients

Great pizza and I bit pricier than other places in the area. But the pizza is worth it. The atmosphere is eh just eh.

They had no bread for sandwiches. They could also invest in some no-pest strips.

Stayed at the harbor Shores Hotel in Lake Geneva, with the Ginos attached. Sat by the pool for a while, got hungry and went to order takeout. Was told of the kitchen was slammed, and take out orders on pause. Sat the bar, had an iced tea, and the bartender Emily Made sure that we eventually got some service. When we made our order, we got the sweet-and-sour chicken wings and a medium pepperoni pizza thin crust. The food was delicious! Atmosphere was pleasant, eating at the bar was just what we needed. We’ve eaten here before, last summer and the food was very good. Gino did not disappoint this time around!

Our deep dish pizza was burnt. Wasn’t the same as it used to be. I was very disappointed. I used to love their pizza. I’m afraid to go back and waste my money. It’s not a cheap pizza

Prices were super high for all items on the menu. Personal pizzas are $10+ more than Lou Malnati's before toppings. Pasta and appetizers portions were tiny for the price. Won't be back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Hadn’t had a Gino’s East in years and enjoyed it thoroughly. Neve was our server, and she was really great - super attentive, efficient and sweet.

We had a rehearsal dinner there on Thursday night. Rebecca was very accommodating in her email and phone communication with us before the actual date. We were even allowed to have the rehearsal dinner in the bar area, rather than having to rent a private room! Food was good, ready when we got there at 5:15. Would've liked a check-in from Rebecca during the event, she may have been busy with other things, though. All in all, a good experience, and guests were happy!

Meh. I asked for a hard cider, waitress said she didn't know what it was and they didn't have any. Then I saw it on the menu. Food was slow and just ok. Not a fan at all of the cornmeal crust.
