Ignore how full you may feel after a few delicious plates - you MUST have the dark chocolate mousse for dessert. Perfection.
Loved the food - amazing chocolate mousse and gluten free pizza- and great prices
Really cute cafe - pretty lush green interior with an amazing menu that would make anyone happy!
I got the “hangover salad” with the naan strawberry and tahini butter bites on the side and the whole meal was fabulous!!
I don't often review my good experiences, but this one was exceptional. What drew me was the menu, and the restaurants advertising of clean and whole ingredients. I have a lot of food restrictions, and the owner came out and talked to me about how she could accommodate my needs with certain menu items. She was so nice and happy to help. The metaphoric icing on the cake was that the food was outstanding, my husband sand his turkey sandwich was the best he's ever had - that says a lot about how good it was! Will definitely go back next time I'm visiting.
As one of the 7 people who were declined service tonight, I am very disappointed in the inconsistent communication of this establishment. We called ahead knowing that having a group of seven may be a complication for some establishments. On the phone, we were assured by the staff member that they would seat us in two separate groups (serving 4 on one tab and 3 on the other). When we arrived at the establishment we shared that we called in and would like to have dinner. One of the staff behind the counter told us that their limit per table was 6, stating “I will not seat parties over six”. We confirmed that we had been told that over the phone, and also were directly told that we would be served seperately. When we addressed that option, we were sternly denied service. As someone who is visiting Geneva for my bachelorette weekend, and as someone who has a severe dairy allergy, we scoured google looking for an establishment that could accommodate my allergies. We thought that this would be a good option based on the menu online, and I was hurt and upset that we were refused all options for seating when finding a restaurant that I can comfortably find allergy-accommodating spaces is difficult. If the maximum limit to people walking through the door was six, and the staff is aware of policies, we should have been made aware of that when we explicitly called ahead of time. I am appalled at the lack of service delivered. I hope the food is good, but I cannot in good faith recommend an establishment that turns away people when the entire inside of the restaurant was empty, doesn't accept criticism well and adapt based on feedback, and is disrespectful to customers or people interested in eating at this establishment without due case.
Visiting Lake Geneva with friends. Came across House Of Bogini and loved their menu, especially since they were allergen friendly. Because we had a group of 7, I called ahead to check reservations. The waitress/hostess stated they could not seat parties over 6 together, but could accommodate by splitting the party into a table of 4 and a table of 3. When we arrived we were immediately denied service by the owner. I stated that I called ahead and the waitress/hostess I spoke to informed the owner that she did tell me they could accommodate. The owner adamantly refused, citing she doesn't accept parties over 6, even split up. We let the owner know we would be paying separately but she refused. Mind you, the inside of the restaurant was empty and the outside seating had maybe 2-3 couples dining. We were incredibly disappointed and the owner was rude. No apologies for the miscommunication or anything. We went to Magpies instead and were seated immediately with excellent service. I do not recommend House of Bogini at all. Not only do they need to get all their staff on the same page, but the owner could brush up on her hospitality.
We had been looking for a nice place to have dinner and called this place to make sure they would be able to take us. We were told on the phone they would seat 3 at a table and 4 as they can’t seat 6 together. We were totally alright with that, flash forward some hours later and we get there and the lady who we talked to refused service to us. She stated they don’t seat six and she won’t seat a party even at separate tables. Another local business actually talked highly about this business and then we were turned away. Appeared that staff were not on the same page as one said they would seat us just at separate tables and the other rudely stated she would not seat us regardless of us sitting elsewhere and regardless of us all paying separately. We walked down the block some and were seated immediate and treated with kindness.
We had a group of seven girls celebrating a bachelorette party. We called beforehand and told the host we had 7 people. She said it was fine for us to come in as long as we split into groups of 4 and 3. We said no problem! We get there and they absolutely, adamantly refused to serve us. Even though we were all going to pay separately and sit separately. She did not give us a reason other than “I don’t accept parties over six” despite being told it was fine over the phone. Staff is not on the same page. We walked ourselves right down to Magpies right after and were seated immediately and treated very nicely :)
Called prior to showing up to make sure they could accommodate a party of 7. We were told that they would have to split us up (which we were totally fine with). When we arrived we were told that they refused our service due to the fact that we were a party over 6…. We told them we would be paying in different tabs, and still were told that they would service us. Horrible experience 0/10 stars
This place is absolutely delicious. I can’t believe I live in this town and have never been here until today. It’s cute, quaint and simply delicious! Will be visiting regularly!

My sister & I had lunch here today. What a neat place. Quite small & cozy. Server was very friendly & timed perfectly. Didn’t feel rushed nor forgotten. The FOOD THO! Seriously have no idea how they took quite basic dishes & make them so flavorful! I literally let out an audible yum over a portobello & spinach wrap. And my sisters pizza was amazing too. Definitely a new favorite place! Especially with the extremely fair prices.
My husband and I stopped here for dinner based on great reviews we’d read, and the food still far outpaced our expectations! I’ve never had a hummus exploding with as many flavors as theirs. We started with the black bean hummus (served warm) and veggies, then hangover salad, wagyu beef street tacos and margherita pizza. Everything was beautifully prepared, and the ingredients tasted super fresh — no mean feat up north in November — with layers of flavors and textures. The interior is cozy but not crowded. The bonus here is that their prices are so reasonable. We’ve paid more for meals that we’ve enjoyed far less. We live in the Chicago suburbs but will make the trip up here for dinner again, I guarantee. My husband was possibly more impressed than I was, and that’s hard to do when it comes to food
This place is next level good. You could tell everything that was served was well thought out. We enjoyed everything we ordered. There were no weak links. Sasha was incredibly personable and made us feel so welcome. She definitely got two lifelong loyal customers out of our dining experience yesterday. Thank you for the wonderful time.
