I was in Lake Geneva for a couple of days and found myself in the mood for sushi.Sabai Sabai was one of the highest rated restaurants in Lake Geneva, so we gave it a try.Ordered: shrimp tempura (appetizer), spicy tuna roll, California roll, and Godzilla roll, with mango sticky rice for dessert. The shrimp tempura had a light, crisp coating - better than most other versions I've had. They were petite and delightful. It's tough to avoid oil flavoring the food in an unpleasant way, but the flavorful ponzu sauce was great. The sushi was excellent, as good as I've ever had so far from the freshness of a coastal city. The plating of the sticky rice was interesting, A shared plate with two tiny forks featuring a lump of rice and a delicately sliced segment of fresh mango in a pool of sweetened milk sauce. It wasn't bad, but it wouldn't be something I would order again. I've had much better. The restaurant is in a historic manor building. Essentially, a big old house. As such, the layout and seating is trying to maximize minimal space. It was a Friday evening and the place was hopping. It felt cramped, and I wasn't comfortable being so close to other diners' tables - but if the last four years have taught me anything, it's that capitalism doesn't leave room for comfort or safety.Perhaps the most pleasant part of the experience was the host, who (if I were to guess) was an owner or manager. She was friendly and genuinely appreciated our business.Parking is a situation that locals probably do just fine with, but being from out of town, we ended up in a paid lot which was a pain in the butt and about $3 more expensive than it needed to be, given the time of year and demand. If you're in Lake Geneva, Sabai Sabai is a solid choice.

This place is pricey at around $42 per person. The staff was sweet & polite, and the inside dining was cute. They have policy that rubbed me the wrong way. Not only are they already pricey but for a table of 4 (2 adults & kids) they charge a 20% gratuity. Not sure why that is appropriate for a table of 4. Our waitress wasn't working hard at all and it wasn't busy. Just fyi because we were caught off guard. Apart from feeling blindsided by that, the food was delicious. It didn't look as good as it tasted. You should Try them if you know they charge gratuity. Also there's no kid's menu.Kid-friendliness: No kid menu. Boo.

We were unsure at first because it looks like a large renovated house, but the food came very fast and was super delicious. The staff was extremely friendly. 100 percent recommend.

Excellent food in an old house converted to a restaurant. The menu is vast and encompasses classic Thai food, sushi, and various house specialties, rice, vegetables, and noodle-based , with many protein options. Really nice fish on the nigiri sushi we enjoyed, and the entree portions are generous (easily two meals if you take your leftovers home), reasonably priced, and some of the "spicy" dishes really do have the proper heat level for a change. Lots to love about this establishment! But watch out for the expensive metered street parking. And some diners might find the tables a little on the small side and fairly close together. So have a relaxed attitude about shared conversations!
