One of the worst dining experiences ever. We get there at 4:30pm and we are the only ones in the restaurant so they are not overloaded. We order a grilled cheese for my son and the bring it without the cheese. So toast. they say sorry and bring the right one shortly. My wife has celiac disease so she orders the seafood diavlo WITHOUT pasta. They bring it with two giant pieces of bread shoved in the diavlo. So we send it back and they bring it back two minutes later and we ask if they just removed the bread and they say yes. This is NOT right and would have made my wife sick. So we send it back, again. They make it again but we had to get it to go because our son who has special needs was becoming impatient. She didn't eat the take out order because she simply did not feel comfortable that they did the right thing to make it again. Three of us ordered the fish fry and one without a salad. They bring the salad. We tell them we don't want it. They take it back and bring it out again 3 minutes later. We again say we don't want it. Honestly our orders were not hard, especially given it was 4:30pm and nobody else being served. They said they were sorry but so many things wrong, it didn't matter. The rest of the food was average at best. I would not recommend going there given all the other great places in the Lake Geneva area.

Was there during winter, lake was frozen. I have to pay a visit in summer and sit outside.

The food is good and they're known especially for their cheese curds however it should be mentioned that they will charge an automatic 10% gratuity if you call in an order. I find this totally unwarranted as there is no disclosure on their part and they casually throw it on the bill. Someone taking an order over the phone and the cooks making said order should not constitute an additional charge as they are not providing any exceptional service when one arrives to pick their order up.

I rarely leave bad reviews.. but! The food was not worth the price.. to be honest, it is not worth half the price! My burger patty looked and tasted like a frozen burger from the dollar store. (No flavor) my jalapeños where "fried" definitely not fried!($20) My wife got the pulled pork Painini.... or you can call it fried bread with a smear of pork flavored bbq and onions 😅 ($22) someone got 2 beef tacos.. $8 each! Taco bells tacos are better. No sauce, no flavor.. they offer sour cream.. maybe to mask the dry beef? Last was the lake perch? Or any white pan fish with no flavor.
Over priced beers.. $6 for a bush. $8 for a spotted cow. Like come on. I know the view is amazing... but you can go into town and find $2 beers with good views! Don't even look at the dinner menu. Looks great but for the price. It better be A5 wagu... $68 filet.
Most of the reviews I read was on apps and drinks. I would not come back here. I'm sorry, I had such high hopes and got disappointed. Maybe it's a new chef? New owner? Not sure but something needs to change. For the price I expect alot better quality. The 1 thing was the fries.. the fries... they where good.
Good vibes, good server but everything else was meh.

Excellent place to watch the sunset over the lake.
We had burgers and pasta. Everyone agreed the food was good and the service was great. The MOAB (mother of all burgers) was both a handful and a mouthful. It was amazing. I switched the cheese to Gouda!! The jalapenos could have been cooked longer to bring out the flavor but they were fine. The wings were ok. The smoke flavor was subtle. Both regular and sweet potato fries were great.

They treat their customers horribly and the foods so bad it makes you wish you just stayed home.
The owner is rude and it’s not worth it

ADA VIOLATION! Poor Service!! We had a terrible experience yesterday at 4pm. We were meeting our friends at The Boat House in Kenosha. Where we have eaten many times. I parked in a handicapped spot in back for my husband who uses a walker. A large Land Rover was parked horizontally to sidewalk leading up to ramp. Blocking side walk for 15 extra feet. My husband has difficulty walking and parking place is on a slant. Because this is added difficulty we asked our friend to go inside and ask for it to be moved. A young man comes out and immediately tells us he won’t move it. I tell him my husband has difficulty walking. He demeans my husband and says it should be no problem for my husband. I lose it. I’m furious. And this man is the Owner of the restaurant and this car! I can’t believe it . He was obnoxious and rude. Told us we were not welcome to come in. Refused to help us or be sympathetic to our needs. Our friend heard the entire exchange. Of course we will never go back. They won’t either. We have never experienced treatment like that.
This place is really good about not calling people back when there looking for a job

Our experience was horrible. I called The Boathouse 6 months in advance to make sure our rehearsal dinner party of 20 would be able to dine here without a problem. The nice girl that I spoke to said it wouldn’t be a problem because it’s their off season in October. I then called a week before and that day and they said it would still be fine, they would push tables together so we could all sit together. When we got there, the bartender directed us to sit outside, which was fine because the few of the lake was pretty. But we all had to sit separately. When we said we were told that we could sit together the bartender was extremely rude. We were disappointed, but our server was very nice. Then, three of us didn’t get our food until after everyone else was done eating! When we said that we shouldn’t have to pay for the three meals, the manager said he wasn’t taking it off the bill because they were busy. The food was good, but overpriced. The bartender was also rude to the wedding party that ordered drinks at the bar. I would never suggest going here. We are the parents of the groom and spent well over $1,000 for a terrible experience.

The fish fry was terrible and overpriced $22 a plate for perch that was just fried with very little fish in it had a fishy taste to it way overpriced. The average is the price of the fish fry was not on the menu we were shocked when we received our bill beautiful atmosphere but I don't think the management cares what is served on a Friday night fish fry
