Beautiful tavern with excellent food! We couldn't pass up the pasta special for two with a bottle of wine. The garlic shrimp picatta was wonderful! Loved the live entertainment after dinner in the bar area. We will definately be returning!

It was absolutely affordable, very classy, great service and delicious food. I would a thousand percent recomned this resturaunt. They catered to my every need.Vegetarian options: They will work around all of your restrictions.Dietary restrictions: If you are gluten free they have options or dairy free there are options.Parking: There is street parking in the front and on the sides.Kid-friendliness: There are baby seats. There is also flexableness as they will move tables if there is more then 4-6 people.Wheelchair accessibility: They will move chairs and tables for handicap people. They have high-tops and low-tops so you can eat at either!

Lipstick on the wine glass. Bartender poured my Moscato from 2 different brands of white wine and neither was a moscato. Waitress didn't tell us the special or the soup. The dining room was so cold I had to wear my winter coat while eating. It too 40 minutes to get a rare steak and a grilled cheese sandwich and there wasn't anyone else in the place. NEVER AGAIN

The ahi nachos are AMAZING!!!!! It is my go to meal for sure. The lamb meatballs are so tender and flavorful as well. Highly recommend stopping in here. Service is friendly and they make amazing drinks

Stopped in on. Saturday night with a few adult friends and two teenagagers. Gorgeous establishment, well lot, music at a volume that made conversation easy. Service was fast and friendly. Drinks were delicious. Ordered several entrees that were well received. Appetizers of Brussels sprouts and cheese curds were REALLY good. The only low point was a walleye entree. As a fisherman in the North woods I know what a walleye fillet looks like and tastes like. Unfortunately the fillet received didn't taste it look like walleye. It had a mud line and tasted very fishy, if I were a betting man, I would say it was catfish. Not that catfish is bad, but when you are expecting walleye, well, yeah. Commented to the server initial impressions and it was taken off the bill immediately.Great stop for all other meals, but I would stay away from the walleye until that situation gets figured out.

This place is definitely for a certain crowd. The dishes have a twist that most kids would not like. The biscuit basket appetizer was good. Came with about 5-7 biscuits, honey butter and a strawberry topping that was very good. After dinner we ordered the strawberry shortcake from the board. Strangely it came with three of the biscuits, the same kind as the appetizer and strawberry glaze with a powdered sugar dusting. It was more expensive than the appetizer but came with less of the same thing. So if you get the strawberry shortcake order another round of the biscuit basket instead.

Came back after a month to see if they had their full menu going yet after their soft opening. Still same menu...very limited and very overpriced for what we got. Steaks were 33 dollars because they claimed they had truffle butter on them...no seasoning at all. Baked potato was served without butter or sour cream...had to ask for it. Smoked trout appetizer spread had little to no fish on it...all sour cream...gourmet cheese curds...nothing special just overpriced cheese curds. Waitress got our drink order mixed up twice and then dropped silverware on the floor twice as well. Very disappointed and hope it was just a glitch of not enough staff. It was 7 pm when we went in to eat on a saturday night and only about 20 people in the place.

Finally got to check this place out! Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with a friend. Service: Service was very friendly and prompt. Our server walked us through the drink and food specials and the menu. She shared that the staff tasted both entree specials and they were excellent.Drinks: I had the Almost a Mango Margarita. It was very flavorful and the Tajin on the rim really complimented it. Highly recommend. My friend had a Spotted Cow on tap. Regret not trying the McIntosh mule special, as that sounded good and was only $7.Food: We started with the Brussels sprouts & onion appetizer. This was excellent and enjoyed the Parmesan cheese on top. My guest had the GLT burger and fries. They could not stop talking about the high quality of beef and said this was one of the best burgers they had. I had the Mac & Cheese with pork shoulder. This was a hearty meal and I took 1/3 of it home. The pork shoulder and BBQ sauce really made the dish. My only criticism is there was too much cheese sauce on the shell pasta, and the balance seemed off. Their dessert was strawberry shortcake, but we were too full to try it. Hope to have dessert next time.Ambience: The restaurant has a big oval bar, which was hopping with customers. The dining room had two small areas - one with high top tables and one with regular tables. It was decorated with antiques, which was welcoming, Recommend checking this place out!

My wife and I had a delicious cod fish fry. Mine was fried to perfection with a light batter and perfectly seasoned. The biscuit served with the fish was unbelievably delicious. My wife had broiled cod that she too thought was delicious. Both came with perfectly done French fries. I had a delicious Bloody Mary that had a delightful kick. We’ll be heading back again.

The walleye was delicious and a nice-sized portion. We had poutine, which was good. The hot bacon salad was really tasty but the added chicken was overcooked and dry. The garlic shrimp paccata had a decent anount of shrimp, not a lot of pasta, and the flavor of the sauce wasn't the best. We ordered water as the fountain soda was flat and flavorless. Our server was excellent and so was the atmosphere for 4pm on a Sunday. $85 for 3 meals and appetizer.

First thought let’s try out the place. Previous place had good experiences. We waited at least 30 minutes for two Filet steaks to be cooked medium well and well. (No salad, no cheese plate, no bread) Needless to say not even close. Sent one back (hubby way too nice) which took another 10 minutes but still not close. The worse part, there was only one other table and someone at the bar. Barely an apology and paid the full price. We did take home the food for the dog, which enjoyed the steaks.

After reading the positive reviews on Minocqua Foodies we stoped in this past Saturday for a 5 pm’ish cocktail and little dinner. Unfortunately our experience was less than positive. The waitress (1 of 3) explained they had no bartender today as such drinks would be limited to beer, Brandy Old Fashions, wine and soft drinks , no problem! We took a seat , ordered our drinks and our food. The menu on the web and Facebook turned out to be out of sync with current menu offerings and pricing, not a big issue inflation and availability impacts us all. We ordered fried Brie cheese, shaved prime rib sandwich and my wife ordered the roasted duck pot pie(sounds interesting!). Drinks a softdrink for me and a glass of wine, no problem so far so good. Food.. fried Brie turned out to be a take off on cheese curds, good batter, crisp but the cheese was still cold in the middle on more than a few of the nuggets.. the prime rib sandwich… good flavor.. bad bun.. dry almost stale. The real disappointment was the duck pot pie.. lacked any duck, was cold in the middle and the menu promised flaky pastry crust turned out to be far from a pastry more like shoe leather reheated in a microwave.. we informed the waitress, she was going to talk to the chef .. she didn’t come back.. we pushed our plates aside and waited.. she came back about 15 minutes later and asked how our dinner was… I sort of lost it and said the food was not fit to eat and the duck pot pie should be removed from the menu. She claimed she told the chef, removed the $23.00 pot pie from the bill and said have a nice day.
