This restaurant in downtown Land O Lakes Wisconsin provides great breakfast and lunch options. It's a clean restaurant and we've enjoyed good service and quality food. We recommend it. They had a spot for us to sit right away. And there's adequate parking.

Unbelievable!! Haven't been here in 13yrs. Called weeks ago to make sure that they are still open and still have the best chicken and dumplings. After driving up 7hrs , go there with the family and want 5 orders !!! I was told " not making them today" It was a Saturday and hrs before closing. I explained everything and was told " call at 6am, and see if cook feels like making them". I offered to pre-pay, but apparently they don't need my money. It's a shame that things can't stay the way you remember them. They were always known for mismatch coffee cups & killer chicken and dumplings.

I am 65 years old. I have worked in kitchens since I was 15. I was the Executive Chef in a very large and popular hotel by the age of 20. I have also been the Executive Chef in several high end establishments. I am not bragging, merely pointing out that I am very qualified to make this statement, the Pine Cone has the best breakfast in the Northwoods. You would have to drive a very long ways to find anything that compares. We stop in every chance we get.
Great service and food! My wife likes her hashbrowns all but burned to charcoal, and this place accommodated her request getting it right the first time. Tables were clean and the waiter checked on us several times during our breakfast. Definitely worth a stop.

Stop for breakfast I got the breakfast burrito my wife got scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. The wife enjoyed her breakfast and my breakfast burrito was ok, but was missing something that I just can’t determine what. Being from the Phoenix area I get a lot of authentic Mexican cuisine, so I guess I can’t hold a Cafe in Wisconsin to the same standard.
