This is our first visit to Sunrise and we couldn’t be more pleased. The lodge is located on LacVieuxDesert in the heart of the natural beauty of northern WI and Michigan,s upper peninsula. What makes the place so special is the staff who are so friendly and accommodating. Phil and Erica, who seem to run the day to day operationns, are great. The cabins are clean and comfortable with outdoor fire pits and all the comforts of home. We had one person in a wheelchair and the accessible cabin worked fine. The food in the dinning room was hearty and very good. We would recommend the Sunrise to anyone without reservation. (But you should make a reservation)This is a true gem in the Northwoods. Make you feel like family 🥰..go out of their way to make you comfortable! Did SO much for my disabled wife... she couldn't leave the cabin,they brought our food to us!🥰... never been treated like to! Plus EVERYONE is so friendly!! And as a former chef, the food is unbelievable! You want a family friendly vacation with activities, great food and friends.. you HAVE to come here 😊👍... been here more than once.. always loved it!

We have been going to Sunrise Lodge since our children were infants to now adults. Activities in the summer appeal to the children with fun, sun, fishing, and art. Now that they are all adults, they join the family for peace, solitude, time with their partners, and book club! The food is phenomenal. The cottages pristine. The peace, solitude, beauty, and camaraderie is priceless.

We love Sunrise Lodge! Our adult kids look forward to spending a week together and Sunrise is the perfect spot! Pets are welcome! Pontoon time is awesome! Meals are delish! The staff go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and fun.

The staff is friendly. They go out of their way to help you have a great vacation. I love it that we didn't have to cook! We were spoiled with delicious meals all week. We really enjoyed the bicycles that were available to us, the fire pits at each cabin and the outdoor seating for our family gatherings. And although the restaurant is right there for all to enjoy, our cabin was well stocked with dishes for anyone who wants to cook. Our family had a great time with group activities For those who want to join in, housekeeping was incredible as well. VERY clean. There is truly something for everyone here. I was sad to leave! My wife and I, and our Golden Retrievers, have been too Sunrise Lodge several times. I had been here by myself one time, 1995?and with some friends another time., 1996. Always had a great time. Accommodations are excellent. The meals served in the Lodge are GREAT!!! The grounds are laid out nicely. There are all kinds of activities at Sunrise, and plenty to see and do, in the area! Plus, it is great for families. They have plenty of things to keep the kids busy and happy!!!A great place to stay, whether you are a fisher person or not. In fact, Sunrise Lodge, is my FAVORITE place to stay!
Great place to take your family or just go fishing. The food is incredible (and a lot) . It would be nice to have a little larger fishing boat. Great place!!

We stay at the Sunrise Lodge every year for an ice fishing weekend. Been going for 6 years now and absolutely love it. Cabins are always nice and clean. They have plenty of cooking supplies available for you. The fishing is great and the family operating the lodge are always wonderful to work with.
