As a visitor from Houston to Wisconsin I was stoked to see a meal prep place close to Appleton. Literally made my friend drive me the 15 minutes here to get my lunches. When I go on vacation it’s hard for me to get my meals in and I was happy to know we had a meal prep kitchen in the area. Unfortunately, my experience was lack luster. I entered the facility and was not welcomed or greeted by the girl in the store, and it was VERY clear I did not know what the client to customer service was or the concept of the place. Meals are not labeled well, and you have to read a menu to understand what you’re grabbing because there are 0 nutritional facts or labels. When going to check out I had no idea I had to self checkout and the girl there was little to no help. And the checkout process is not seamless and I have to essentially guess what I’m checking out because the buttons just say “chicken” versus having it labeled by meal. I love the idea of this local business but it lacks client facing engagement.

Update: Everything in the first order was great, and just got my second (got two cheeseburger bowls this time). But also just had the chicky parm! Wow!

The very first time I ordered with FVMP an incorrect item was in my delivery order. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they totally exceeded my expectations to make it right. Not only were they quick to respond, but they were kind and they were able to have the missed item delivered on their next scheduled delivery day.
Aside from this, their food is delicious and well-seasoned. I like to get the bulk items - Buffalo chicken, turkey but I also love the chicken ranch Mac and cheese! Honestly I haven’t had anything I didn’t like.
I think it’s important to share my first experience as obviously good food is important, but the willingness to take care of a new customer with excellent communication and customer service is huge - especially these days. I highly recommend fox valley meal prep to anyone!
